I'm Reading ''how to become a straight A student'' now, outside of cheesy title this book has some very good ideas. Gives some great tips how to study efficiently so you have little more time for yourself. Obviously it's not going to make you a genius, but I really recommend this book if you are looking for a new study methods.
I downloaded pdf of this book from torrents, so if any of you are interested ask for link or pm me I can pass it by email

For me I study better in a group setting. I didn't figure this out until my second year of college. I would spend 2-3 hours studying with 2-3 friends. Then I would go home take a hot shower and eat. Then study 1-2 hours by myself on the topics I wasn't comfortable on. This was back when I had exams and lab tests every second day. The whole overnighter thing never worked for me because I would be too tired to concentrate on the actual exam the next day.

yea this book talks about this and suggests techniques how to study efficiently rather than just waste time studying for the whole day and being too tired in the end. Breaks and time management is crucial.

One minute left in my 5 minute break lol, mid term at 11:30 and then again at 2:30. Wasn't feeling good so I slept from 11:30 till around 4:30 and then woke up and started studying again. Getting work done. Should be super comfortable with the first mid term. It is the second one that is the issue.

I go through phases. I'll have a month or two where I'll get a good 7-8 hours without waking up in the middle of the night and then I'll go through a month where I will wake up at 3:00am, 6:00am, and etc throughout the night.

I feel you man. Ironic because your name is Nites.

Just naturally though? Or are you on stimulants?

Naturally. Personally I love waking up at around 6:00am and looking at the clock knowing that I still have another hour to sleep.

I haven't had a proper natural sleep since before I was a teenager. And I'm about to be 26. You get used to it.

One thing I have no issue with is sleeping. If I don't have to get up for work I sleep 8-9hrs and don't wake up unless my cat wakes me up or my GF gets up early to go downstairs for a swim.

I love waking up early. 5:45 - 6 a.m. is great for me because I feel like I'm not missing any part of the day. Depending on the day I'll either start the laundry, do some ironing or typically go for a jog. It's great too, because Matilda doesn't really wake up until 6:50 anyways, so I can get a good hour.

Six-Seven hours of sleep, for me, is all I really need. Anything more and I feel groggy.

how far are you from work claudius?

my commute is around 50 mins so i'm up at 6am but it's still sort of a rush for me in the morning. If i had a quick 15 minute jaunt to work though I'd still wake up at the same time and do the same sort of thing.

Right now, it takes about 40 minutes to work, but it's not a rush for me. I'd rush if I got up at 7.

The best is waking up that early on a holiday (Family Day for e.g.) and just see how quiet it is. Tranquil.

When I have to get up early I probably only get 5-6hrs. This morning I was up at 5:30am, I got 5hrs sleep. Even when I get up early I go to bed at midnight or later.
