On the other hand, if you're going to a crap school in a crap city, moving to a big city with better intellectual outlets can be a big breath of fresh air.
As some of the posters above posted I go to ryerson; ted rogers school of management with a business law major to be specific. I just really dislike my program and the people in it. And while I could just change programs, doing that makes me lose approximately the same number of credits so since Ive never been a big fan of the school I said I may as well change school as well. I noticed that the transfer credits aren't told to you until after you've gone through the process which I find a bit ridiculous. It's a huge point in the decision someone makes

My friend transferred from UofT life science to Rye nutrition and the only credit transferable was her elective (sociology or psychology or something)

Obviously I don't know you that well, so it is hard to be really specific. If you want to know what I suspect, I think you are the one that makes yourself unhappy. That is true of many of us, I think, but what you post on this forum makes me think that you are definitely your own worst enemy. I don't want to sound like I'm scolding you or anything, but it would be a horrible mistake to change schools for the wrong reasons. Like really, what are the chances that there is nothing and no one worth staying for in your program at Ryerson?

I have a handful of friends in the program who I would miss if I do leave. I have another handful of friends in different programs at ryerson whom I've known for a long time and I'm close to so them as well. However I know I am unhappy with my current life, and you may very well be right that it's up to me being unhappy but I think i've reached a point where the only way for me to know is to experience something else. If I do change scenery, and realize i'm still not satisfied with my life, then it's a signal to get help i'd say. However until then I can't really be sure I don't think

criminology. But sociology, law, and psych all work as well. I am majoring in political science trying to specialize in international relations in case i get into CSIS, but it works for policing as well.

Massive respect to all the parents on this board. I never knew what tired was until we had the little one. I'm mean it's mind-blowingly awesome to watch her literally grow up in front of you, but the few hours of sleep you get is tough. I don't mind the 1 - 2 a.m feedings, it's the 4 - 5 a.m. feedings that can do you in.

Women become easier and easier the older you get. Or so it seems that way to me.

Wow what a rarity.

Leafs game not on regular cable, yet we have TSN covering the NBA TNT doubleheader.

It gets easier and easier, man.

Especially after they're potty trained.

And then you start to miss when they were teeny.

every time i feel like i have a handle on whatever stage my kids are at, they move on to another stage. once one thing gets easy, another thing comes along to throw you off kilter. i'm hoping one day i can find a zen about it, but i have a feeling that's impossible from within the day to day. that's what grandparents are for...

A friend of mine got married about 6 years ago. Just prior to him getting married we had a discussion about having kids. He couldn't believe that I didn't want kids, he thought that's what you do and it's all great. He even said it was selfish for me not to want kids. Fast forward 6 years and he has 2 daughters and to say the least his views have changed. He gets it and he even said that if he knew what he knows now he probably would have waited longer to have kids. He keeps saying it's one thing after another and if you don't want kids and you know that, make sure you don't have them because it's stressful. He of course he prefaces this by always saying "don't get me wrong I love my kids and it's so rewarding...." which people always tend to say.

All I know is a lot of people I know that have kids, get less sleep, more stressed, crankier then they were prior. I just don't see myself ever having kids, i'd constantly be worrying about everything.

I admire people that are good parents, it's definitely not easy and it never gets much easier because they are constantly changing and getting various outside influences and you just never know how they will turn out down the road. You could be doing all the right things but it's a bit of a crap shoot imo. I'd probably have a heart attack before I was 50. lol

Kids are easy.

It's being married that's challenging.

Mehh, I've lived with a couple women. I'll take that over married + screaming kids. lol

None of it is easy imo, but it's gotta be what you want.

I find its all about working together with your partner and trying to establish good routines early. We've already started a sleep routine and she regularly sleeps at night easily save for feedings and even that follows a familiar pattern of 1 3 and 6 in the morning. Like I said I take the 1 and 6 and it allows tge wife to get her rest for the day.

It's already a bit easier than it was 3 weeks ago so I take some confit in that. Tge hardest part for me is just being separated during the day and feeling like I miss things. When you come hone and you see that coy smile it just does something to you.
