It seems as if the day you hit 18, there will always be an argument with your parents, about the most random and stupidest things, which they just stick to and bug the hell out of you, at least once a day. god I can't stand them now for parts of each day? I'm living at home for the next four years, and possibly four after..... i'm screwed

I know what you mean. I've been working night shifts for the past week and it's been so calm. I just can't wait till I get the job I want so that I can buy a place of my own. Not that I hate my parents but after living with them for so long I've been getting annoyed over small things.

Your parents might just be counting the days until they can have wild sex on the dining room table. Think of the tension that could be causing.

it seems impossible until it happens. if i can give only one piece of advice it's to know now how good you have it and to make sure you appreciate that while it is still there.

I love my parents. I am away from them 7 months a years so whenever I come back I like to just hang out with them the most. I have also noticed as I got older my relationship with my dad has got so much better. My mom is just my mom, I have always had a good relationship with her.

Same goes for anyone close to you, period. I lost my Grandfather 5yrs ago and miss him greatly. I'm close with my mother and would lose it if anything happened to her. But don't take for granted anyone close to you (parents, close friends, relatives) you never know when someone will be gone from your life. One thing about getting older is that you really realize how short life is. When you're younger you don't really think too much about it (unless you're Pzabby), but as you get older and see you're elders get older and grandparents/parents age you realize you aren't as far from that as you think. It's true what they say, youth is wasted on the young.

I am the youngest of 5 and I must say having older parents than most people my age, appreciate them.

Also, I have only met 1 of my grandparents, 1 of them died during my lifetime (who I never got to meet - they didn't live on this continent), my 2 other grandparents died long before I was born.

Save up money during your summers off and move out after 2 or 3 years. I'm glad I don't live my parents anymore, I enjoy being independent. Plus, when I go home my relationship with my parents is great now and there isn't a single argument and my mother does my laundry and cooks my meals!

I respect my father so much more than I did in high school now that I'm growing up and out on my own. My mom is just my mom, as Gurk said, have always had a decent relationship.
