I'm off to Vancouver on the 22nd to have Christmas and spend a week with the girlfriend's family. Her brother-in-law just got a 43" HD set and is as avid a basketball fan as I am.

Well in madrid is pretty cold. Now we are having the worse weather. Cold, 1º or 2º celsius, raining and cold wind. But of course not enough cold to snow in the city, we only get snow like twice. I wish it snowed a little. Madrids weather is terrible cause is really cold in the winter(it reaches -5º) and extremely and a mean extremely hot and dry in the summer (it can get to 45º). In August walking in the street its horrible.

Very nice ACIE ... do they still have snow on the ground out there? I know they got blasted by a storm a couple weeks back.

Any plans on venturing up to Whistler or maybe take the ferry over to Victoria?

I think the snow melted.

I don't know what I'm going to be doing. I've got some buddies I'm going to meet up with, but other than I'll probably just spend a lot of time eating. lol

Seriossly, everybody thinks he have a great weather everywhere in spain, but thats only in the coast, the rest is quite a extreme weather, is not that good. In madrid its anoying we can have 50º C of difference between January and August. I prefer a soft summer and a bad winter to a fairly cold winter and terrible summer.
Anyway Im pretty sure that if I lived in To I would get tired of the snow as if you lived in Madrid you would get tired of how hot it is.
What did you visit here?

I spent two weeks in Palma de Mallorca and two weeks in Costa Brava (I stayed in Lloret de Mar but spent two days in Barcelona)... Palma is nicer but I had more fun in Lloret... I had awesome time... mind you this was some time ago before I got married...

Last summer we were supposed to go to Spain for 3 weeks and to to travel all over it but I once we calculated the cost it was just to expensive so we decided to do it some other time...
