days of partying are gone for me...we like to have a really good meal with an excellent bottle of red, then hang out by the fire for the rest of the night
maybe it's my age, but i choose to take the opportunity to reflect on what i've accomplished over the last year...and quietly plan for what i want to achieve during the next one

I honestly hate new years eve. If you don't go over to a friends or stay home its sooooooo fricken expensive and everything is packed to capacity. Rather then trying to go out and blowing a few hundred on dinner, drinks, bar/club or what ever, I would rather just stay in and then go away for a day or two (like down to Niagara or something) and spend my money that way...

My girlfriend says she prefers my grey, but I think that's just part of her overall plan to ruin my life. She also got me to trim my beard last week and I'm so angry I did.

Anyway, I started going grey at 25 and 5 years ago I started to dye it. When my face looks too old to support the illusion, I'll stop. I just hate the sight of it and no one I know is remotely as grey as I am. Fortunately, I have very little in my beard. Dying that is something I definitely wouldn't do.

I get lots of comments from women 30 and over who ask, "Why would you dye your hair!?" It's funny because they all dye theirs and probably have been for years, as a lot of women start going grey in their early 20's. I want to say, "Probably the same reason you dye yours!" but I'm a nice guy. Seriously though, I can't imagine saying that to someone considering I dye my hair. I wonder if some of them really think no one's aware of their coloured hair.

I've had white hairs since I was 25, so I began highlighting. Fuck, it's expensive.

We are going to decide between Risk and Settlers of Catan once everyone makes it in. Either or, it should be great.

1 - women go grey/white in their 20s? Really?

2 - My Dad didn't get grey hair until his late 50s. I'd be super pumped about those genetics except, due to my mothers side of the family, I'll probably be bald and have no hair by the time I'm 38.

3 - I believe Mr. M is what the ladies call a "Silver Fox"

4 - lists are awesome. I need to go back to this format more often.
