Question MP3 Player suggestion

I'm planning to pick up an MP3 player to use in the gym, maybe around 4-8 GB can view video but I would like one that I could read E-books on as well.

I am not a big apple fan and am on a limited budget - I don't want to spend more than $150.

What do you use and any suggestions?

Yeah, get a nano. They come at a good price with enough storage capability. Its probably the best choice.

But can you watch video or read Ebooks with Nano?

Also, my eyes are not too good, so the small screen won't help me

Sandisk is alright, but Apple has the mp3 market in a strangle hold.

Sandisk Sansa Fuze Video is the best for people who go to the gym because it's compact and durable. Also, transferring music to it is sop simple and fast. You can get the 4GB for $79.99 which can hold 1000 songs and it also has FM radio and 24hrs battery life.

Ipods are too thin and delicate for the gym unless you attach it to your arm. If you planning on putting it in your pocket your ipod could crack.

Thanks for the advice guys. I considered the Nano, but I hate the "establishment" too much.

I considered getting the Fuze, nice little Mp3 and great price but I guess I really am a Sony fanboy- I got the Sony 4Gb on sale for $79.99

If you're using an ipod for the gym you want to go with an ipod shuffle. They're cheap, insanely small, large enough to store more than enough blood pumping tunes and they come with a convenient clip to hook onto your shirt.

Trust me, I have a classic ipod and I have the shuffle. The classic ipods only get in the way and you have to buy a case w/ a clip to clip them on your person, which only makes them more clunky. The shuffle will cost you under $60.

Why would you care about video if its for the gym?

i used to HATE apple... i refused to buy an Ipod because i hated the fact that i had to instal Itunes...
that is until my friend hooked me up with a 'hot' 160GB Ipod video thingy.
i absolutely love it.
it holds movies and music and pretty much anything i want. i have about 1000+ songs, a season of family guy, and 5 movies, and i still have like 100 GBs left over.

Oh, I guess you guys are going to shitty gyms. The two closet to me both have flat screens connected to most of the cardio equipment.

They have them at mine too, but maybe they're not playing what he wants to watch.
