Mega Upload Shut Down by US Government

So instead of sifting through the site and actually taking of the specific videos and uploads that were copyright infringement material, they decide to shut the whole thing down. Watch out torrents, youtube, facebook, google etc. Soon we're going to be back to being without internet at all and a ridiculous amount of businesses are going to cease to exist. If you have any mention of a title or specific entertainment title on your site...YOURE GOING TO GET SHUT DOWN. Goodbye internet.

:tombstone:

this is fucked but atleast we still have netflix.

Ball Don't Lie 01-19-2012 05:05 PM

Netflix is garbage compared to icefilms. Its not really about that though. If they really get to the point of shutting down youtube for everything being copyright infringement pertaining to the big Hollywood companies saying so it's going to be a meltdown of epic proportions.

Febreezy 01-19-2012 05:55 PM

I didn't wanna start a new thread, but Anonymous responded back by shutting down the Department of Justice, Universal Music, RIAA, and the Motion Picture Association.

Looks like a cyberwar:confused2:

Ball Don't Lie 01-19-2012 06:12 PM

Anonymous is dangerous, but they're probably the only group that can really retaliate besides just protesting. Free the interwebssss

Febreezy 01-19-2012 07:58 PM

Let's add Warner Music Group to the list of sites down

Gurk 01-19-2012 08:18 PM

Fuck yea. Let's go Anon. :dancing:

Dark Knight 01-19-2012 08:53 PM

I guess I can forgive Anonymous for taking down the PSN now. :p

Snooch 01-20-2012 12:06 PM

all that they need to do is move servers off of US soil, then there is nothing that cn be done by the US governement without breaking international law.

Barracuda 01-20-2012 12:24 PM

And even better with this site:

Filesonic Hotfile Search

I know it is Hotfile Search, but it lists Filesonic results as well.
