You're a good dude, Claudius.

I had my foreman and her assistant standing in my way the entire time I was trying clear our driveway.

Although in all fairness to my wife, before we lived to together she would go and shovel and salt my sidewalk, patio and driveway on her lunch break while I was at work. What happened to that chick?

I'll exclude you and my cute neighbour.

My OTHER neighbour though - she used to do it all and it was quite impressive. Shovel, clean off her car, cut the grass, clean out the eaves, perform small repairs. As soon as her boyfriend moved in, she stopped all of it. He'll also drop her off at the door before he pulls into the driveway, lest she soil her shoe.

Hey, sometimes it's not our fault... my ex used to come to my work before 5pm and clean off my car for me. I didn't ask or expect him to, he just did.

Some guys like to feel like they're "taking care" of their poor defenseless chick... that, and (in this case) they hoped that it'd make up for their bullshit.

Hey man, I used to do the driveway all the time when I lived with my parents. I also do my own car if and when I use it. My husband is a prince though, I have to say ... he will drop me off at a mall/theatre entrance and then go park if the snow is bad. And I love him for it.

P.S. Claud, you're awesome. That is all.

Whatever.

I shovelled the driveway and walk three times yesterday, started up and cleaned off the car, made breakfast, lunch and dinner, did two loads of laundry, loaded and emptied the dishwasher twice, gave Ella a bath and put her to bed...so much for a day off. I'm a freakin' domestic goddess.

That's me everyday. I live with two of the messiest people on the planet. One day last week, I cleaned the house top to bottom, made dinner, cleaned up after that and then went downstairs to record because I had something due. 3 hours later, I come up and it's messier than it was before I cleaned the first time. So I sat down on the couch, sighed and said, "How did this get so messy so fast?"

"RAWR RAWR!!!" *fangs* "YOU ALWAYS COMPLAIN!!!! RAWR!!!"

That's my everday too, but usually it happens after an 8 eight hour work day.

I also vacuumed 6 times - the whole house, the bathroom twice because everytime Chris showers and does her hair she leaves a million pieces everywhere and 3 times around the kitchen table from sloppy eaters and a snow day playdough extravaganza. And don't even get me started on the toys in every room of the house that I constantly tidy up only to leave the room and return to have twice as many out.

I think we need to move the kids and the chicks in together and let them wallow in their own messes.

Bwa-ha-ha! Yes, the toys everywhere is one of the things that I am not looking forward to at all. Hammad and I are both neurotically neat and organised (thank God) and this is probably going to drive us nuts. Unless we are too tired to care. Which is likely what will happen.

Play Doh is THE WORST to clean up.
