Smile Lenny Kravitz to replace Steven Tyler in Aerosmith?

The Kravitz factor

But what about this talk of Lenny Kravitz? Turns out its stems from a conversation John Kalodner had with musician and songwriter Marty Frederickson. "I was talking to Marty about this because he co-wrote Jaded and worked with [Aerosmith] for ten years or so. The only person he said could even make Aerosmith anything - and I agreed - would be Lenny Kravitz." (Interestingly, at one point Kravitz's name was tossed around as a replacement for Scott Weiland in Velvet Revolver.)

I'm not a fan of his recent stuff, but Lenny has some classics.

Maybe a temporary collaboration would get the creative juices flowing again

Aerosmith are so beyond shitty at this point. The have been for decades. For the record i'm not a fan of Kravitz, but his lameness factor would go up ten fold if he did this.

Aerosmith have always sucked. A few decent tuned here and there, but certainly not a up there with the greats.

Lenny was okay until he did that song "Fly Away" that is the same part looped over and over.

Best concert I ever went to was in 1990 at the CNE Grandstand. It was the PUMP tour for Aerosmith just fantastic.

However; Black Crows, Metallica and Skid Row were also on the card. Great time to go to my first ever concert I must say.

Funny I heard 12 chicks. Also, one security guard in Vegas called his private betting room a "revolving door"

I love the idea of Lenny taking over. It could be a great combination.

Meh...if Lenny joins it shouldn't be Aerosmith.

It's like Chris Cornell joining Rage sans Zack.

Yup exactly. I love Cornell but Audioslave was no where near RATM. Zach is just too unique to top.
