iPhone Troubles

So my home button recently decided to quit working. I've tried letting my phone die and recharging it altogether, but that didn't help. I can get it to work occasionally but it's only by chance and persistence, and by persistence I mean rapidly pushing the button. :p

Is there any way I can fix this problem, or will I have to see if I can get it replaced?

You can try cleaning it with rubbing alcohol, using a Q-tip. Or blowing into it to try to dislodge any dirt.

This used to happen with my blackberry when it had a trackball. thank god they got rid of those. Like Acie said, try cleaning it.

It might just need to be reset as well.

This first vid shows how to recalibrate your home button. The second one shows another option. See if either works for you.

Thanks for the advise guys! I'll give them a try and check back later.

Sounds like an old Nintendo trick to me

i don't mean to hijack your thread DK, but my fucking ipod's screen broke on me last week. I turned it on to find some of the pixels permanently black/grey in the form of these streaks that never go away.

I'm really annoyed as I use my ipod ALL the time. Looks like i will have to take into one of those private ipod repair places.

One of the reasons I switched to an Android phone.

iPhone had too many moving parts that broke down.

My mother bought that phone and has had problems, she misses her old Motorola 2002 special. Older people and technology. :haha:
