left work at 6 (downtown) train stopped at ossington, I was waiting for a shuttle bus for more than two hours. There was one bus in all this time, and as you would imagine nearly impossible to get in to with all the people waiting. No ttc workers to be found, people were pissed off! Oh and it was raining too :cookie:, got home 20 min ago.. I knew it was a stupid idea to take ttc instead of driving to work

I was at work and all of a sudden the power went out, I had to wait around for 2 hours before I got home. The 401 was fucked, so to box1992 I hope you got out of there relatively quick. Streets were flooded and cops closed a bunch of streets down. Supposedly we are expected to get the most rainfall ever in Toronto's history

Hasn't rained here in 2 weeks. Sunny everyday. Average temperature 23-26 degrees for the last 4-5 days. One of the best summers here in recent memory in terms of weather so far.

madness.

It was all really strange for me as i was pretty much oblivious to the whole thing. Yes it rained a ton in my area for an hour during dinner, then it settled down somewhat and eventually it stopped. Put the kids to sleep, played my guitar for a bit, went on a run, finally turned on the TV at 9:00 and i couldn't believe everything that i saw. wow. glad that the people here got home alright... by the looks of it some people had difficulty doing that via public transit.

Ye I missed almost all of it as well. I drove to class from sauga to waterloo around 4:40, all i got was very little rain the whole way there for maybe around 3-5 min. Up until 6:30 till I entered class there wasn't any problems at all. Didn't even know what was going on till I check online. When I came back it just like normal rain as well. Hope everyone is ok!

i had a hard time following that go train story. Once i was stuck in a go train for a little while and it was making me go insane. train was stopped for an hour or so. Nothing big, but i remember getting that cabin fever or whatever it's called and my mind was racing. I can't even begin to imagine how i'd feel if i was on that go train they were showing yesterday. I'd definitely have some sort of panic or anxiety attack.

we kept waiting for the onslaught last night but never got it...just a light rain for about 30 mins
hard to fathom some of these pics since we're only a 40 min drive away from downtown TO

question...how are the road conditions today ?...wanted to drive into Mississauga around noon...not sure if i can get thru

It was raining pretty heavy where I work, HWY 7 & Bayview but it calmed down eventually, not nearly as bad as those pics. Then when I went home (further east) there was like nothing. It wasn't even raining, people that weren't watching the news didnt even know there was a flood going down lol. Hope everyone is OK though.
