I'm already counting down the days. November's been surprisingly warm and uneventful, so that leaves December, January, February and March. 4 months of total asscrap and then it's April and things start getting better. Besides the usual crap - snow, sleet, frigid temperatures and the resulting dry, bleeding hands - I've got a 4 year old in school so that means dealing with the whole snow pants and boots malarkey. Rawr.

what the hell is up with the weather? will it ever snow? there is 0 cm of a natural snow base in blue mountain and other southern ontario ski resorts. and tremblant, supposedly the greatest mountain in eastern N/A has had 30 cm since start of winter and has a mere 20 something runs open out of 90+! what the fuck? global warming, why are you trolling us so hard right now?

I believe, if I'm not mistaken a lot of the weather models predicted a warm beginning to the winter with it picking up in January-February to give us below average temperatures and above average precipitation (due to La Nina). So, like last year.

It's like this most years around here for the most part. Really, it never seems like we get much snow in December and when/if we have a white christmas it's usually a light dusting. We often don't get significant snowfall before January which is fine by me.

La Nina is supposed to give slightly higher than avg temps, and higher precip due to the lake effect. Hopefully Buffalo gets the biggest brunt of the snowfall again.

I'm hoping for major snow storms. When I was a little kid, we had a couple doozies and I've been hooked since then. I love watching it out the living room window. Hate the cold, the dark, the crappiness, but I looove snow storms.

the day after the snow storm is a bitch.

shoveling the snow outside, plus those random winds that could easily freeze anything uncovered.

BUT HOT CHOCOLATE MAKES UP FOR IT

I thought most people are experienced driving in the snow in Toronto. Here in Vancouver when it snows even a little bit it's a complete gong show.

Oh please, it's awful here. The first good snowfall you'de swear nobody ever saw snow in their lives. Every year, the same thing.

I honestly can't believe that it's 5 days before Christmas. Not a flake in sight. Although I don't miss cleaning off my car it makes me a little sad.
