Well since it's insanely hot out right now, I think the question should be asked:
Would you rather live in +30 degree heat, or -30 degree coldness? |

+30 heat for sure, I like cold and winter more tbh cuz I love snow, but as far as temperature goes, -30 is terrible in comparison to +30 imo.

Cold > 30-38 degree heat
With Cold weather you can adjust what you wear to be comfortable. This kind of heat is simply unbearable, and no matter what you wear you're uncomfortable and sweaty. |

120°F+ with the humidex is just so crazy. but to answer the question, it depends on how long you have to put up with it. i'd take the heat if it was just for a day or two, otherwise, i can deal with prolonged cold much better.

With extreme heat, no gear can help you adjust. You can wear jackets in the winter and block the wind. Today is like in an oven

It's hot in here too. Some big storms for a past few days, raining bigtime, lightings, wind is crazy, I thought some hurricane coming LOL. But it's still hot. I am wet all the time, I hate it. I think it's better in coldness, because at least you can do something about it, dress up, use blanket or something or even do some push ups to get warmer. In 30+ I feel I can't do anything, one step and I wet and sticky, ehh.... It's even hard to breathe, it's so stuffy.
P.S. Good to see people using Celsius LOL. I cant understand that shitty Fahrenheits. |

I haven't been outside for a few days because of the heat. I don't really feel it inside with the AC on, but I tried opening the window today and wondered how people are still outside.

My apartment is a sauna right now. Nothing helps, and I can't wait til the heat dies down a bit.
I'm looking for ACs on Craigslist, but I'm not sure how heavy the suckers are or where I'll fit one. |
