How many Thanks??

Double doors....one behind the other....most places have them, you are walking in behind someone and the open the door for you
do you?...

-Thank on the first door only

-Thank on the second door only

-Thank on both doors

-No thanks at all.

Taz 07-28-2008 01:03 PM

Or do you say "I love Benzo" everytime someone holds a door open for you?

Snooch 07-28-2008 01:04 PM

I always kiss the holder, with tongue.

I get ALOT of funny looks from people as well as bloody noses.

Belsius 07-28-2008 01:05 PM

I probably say thanks the first one and then just smile in the second one.

Taz 07-28-2008 01:08 PM

I say thank you at the first door and thanks again at the second, but I'm weird that way. People who say thank you once don't bother me ... it's those idiots (sorry) who don't have the courtesy to say even one thank you that bother me.

Benzo 07-28-2008 01:08 PM

Second door only..

I prefer to see that he finishes the job before getting his just reward.

Acie 07-28-2008 01:17 PM

I say it on both doors.

Superjudge 07-28-2008 01:18 PM

why?

Acie 07-28-2008 01:18 PM

Why not?

Superjudge 07-28-2008 01:25 PM

you already said it once.

you've alreayd established your gratitude.

saying thanks twice leaves room for the idea that he may NOT have help it the second time, which, if you ask me, means that by saying thanks twice, you letting him know you thought he might be that much of a douchebag.

You're a dick Acie!

;)

It's probably that you have to open that second door after that. :D

hmmm, if guy is the first who arrives to the door, who other is going to open the door?

Acie 07-28-2008 01:40 PM

Well, I say once for every act of kindness.

Although if there were three sets of doors that might be a completely different story.

Belsius 07-28-2008 01:44 PM

And if there were 4 doors and an elevator?

Superjudge 07-28-2008 01:45 PM

just one.

thats all ya ever need.

but if a guy requires more than one, then there wa sprobably some silly sign somewhere that made him think he deserved a second thank you. He probably has a baby with him too.

:P

MangoKidHoops 07-28-2008 01:46 PM

Thank on both doors. That's just me though. If I do hold open the door for someone, I'd expect at least 1 thank you. If I don't get that, as retribution I might be liable to step on the back of your heel and make it seem like an accident... or I'll stare you down.

dfunkie1 07-28-2008 01:50 PM

i say thanks on the first followed by 'and again' on the second. it makes me feel less robotic.
