Lift some weights.

I like to train, but I have had some of my best workouts when I felt a little angry.
If your depressed then working out at the gym will help with that too.

Release some endorphines.

If your depressed all the time... well go see a doctor right away.

There is a tiny problem though, pzabby, if you're the user I think are (I might have you confused with another teen). Do your parents prevent you from doing extra volunteer work, because they want you to focus on your grades in school? Or was that some other teen. If that's you, that's unfortunate.

If you can, go out and volunteer in stuff.
1-it can fufill the objective SJ mention
2-you can meet more people

From some of your other posts, I get the impression you'd maybe benefit from brancing out and meeting some more people.

Masturbating and eating food is great for making yourself feel better; I've done it a milliion times, at least. But, it works as a quick fix for temporary problems.

if you feel like shit often, you need a bigger change. Makes some good friends. Really good ones. It helps. Also, I agree with Insider's suggestion about hiting the gym. I used to work-off a lot of stress that way. It makes your body feel great. Nothing like a nap after a workout. Now I'm falling apart and all I do is jog.
I am that teen, you were right. The problem's more of a temporary one, though could feed into something bigger if i stay in TO, weel see. but for now, thanks for the advice. all of you.

That's a bit of a myth. If you're drinking alone because you drink so much that you're ashamed and you're hiding it, that's might indicate a bigger problem - either you're on your way to developing a problem or you're already there.

I end pretty much every week with a few beers, some tunes and some alone time. It enables me to relax, reset and de-stress myself. I ain't ashamed one iota.

It might seem like a small thing, but I can't stress the benefits (for me) of taking vitamin D enough. I went from being depressed and angry to being able to manage both of those issues. It takes a while to build up in your liver and you have to be vigilant about taking it. Taking 4,000 IU a day worked wonders for me. Check with your doc first of course.

play vids, booze is bad for you. Don't be a sheep, don't drink booze. Too much of that stuff can make you mean and dumb.

Go for a good walk. You gotta look forward. No way around it. Unless you walk backwards, which can be fun anyways.

That happened to me to last year. It was at the point when I got a few tests back in the beginning and didn't do so hot on them. After that I stopped giving a shit. No lie. I just coasted and got 80-82 in everything. Good times.

Don't call it home then. Chances are you have fewer distractions, ace your grades, and benefit for a long long time, unlike the bums that get to spend their lives nostalgic for "the best years" of their lives.

You really need to work on putting things in perspective.

Be thankful you have the opportunity to get a post-secondary education at all.

Not everyone is afforded the chance right out of high school.

Exactly.

Disappointment happens. Learn from it.

I've always said how people handle disappointment tells a lot about their character and how they handle success as well.

every night i finish studying and feel all groggy and shit, i head down to the gym and lift some weights. i've been looking at myself in the mirror with positivity everyday, wish i should have done this when i was in high school.

another strange thing i've been doing once in a while is "morning pages". that when i wake up every morning, i just sit down and write a page in a journal i have and just write about everything.

jerk off in strange and exciting places...

But seriously, I was in a similar state of mind all through high school. I felt worthless and sorry for myself for a ton of different reasons (zero confidence around girls, lack of friends, etc...) I don't know if it was depression or what but eventually I just started liking myself again even though I hadn't gotten laid, made new friends, experimented with drugs and achohol or done anything different. My depression (If that's what it was) just kind of went away.

Moral of the story: You can try to fill that hole in a bunch of different ways, just don't do anything stupid. It may be harder to do nowadays but I think sometimes all people need is patience.
