Meh, I don't own any so it wasn't hard. Also, I still have a VCR, sometimes I wonder why I still have it

My parents and my sister and brother-in-law got me a 46" Bravia for my birthday.

What a spolied brat I am and what a great family I have.

46 eh. Congrats. My wife couldn't figure out why we couldn't make do with 37 instead of 40, and 40 was her absolute limit. I wanted to ask her what she had against size, but realized that I shouldn't push the issue, and decided to count my blessings instead.

We tried a 42 and it was too big - for me at least. I had some major Blair Witch motion sickness happening. The 37 is perfect.

I have a couple hours before it kicks in and basketball is relatively stable, so no, you're not going to get rid of me. Nice try though.

I got a question for ppl with Rogers HD PVRs

So I`ve been using it through the coaxial wires: RED, GREEN, BLUE for a long time. A few days I got a new HDMI cable so I finally hooked up my box through HDMI and the picture`s looking great like before...but I can`t control the volume through the HD box, gotta go through the main TV volume which is annoying. Any ideas?

You have to lock your remote into TV, AUX, DVD etc. In this case fot you it would be TV. If you look at your remote manual there should be a section which gives you a 3 digit code which matches your TV. Before you enter the digits I think you have to hold the setup button for 5 seconds and it will flash twice or something.

Philips is known for a lot of things in Canada, but I don't think i've seen any philips big screens around. I had a Philips home theatre a while back, not a bad system. Samsung, Lg, Sony, and Panasonic are pretty big here.

What ever you do, don't mount it over your fireplace.
