I was hired to do a parody of a Queen song for a company's soiree. I was able to make the music sound really close to the original but when it came time to record the lead vocals, there was no way, and I had to kinda fake it, but not before ripping my voice to shreds trying. Dude had an unbelievably powerful voice. I didn't really appreciate it until then.

And freakin' Bohemian Rhapsody is epic.

hard to overrate a 4 octave range from a guy with no formal vocal training. or that he would improvise harmonizing on the 2nds 3rds and 5ths during live performances. not to mention that he penned several massively popular songs. i'm not much of a queen fan, but fm was pretty incredible as a vocalist and songwriter.
