Got the amp and he doesn't know what he's talking about - it's a silver face Super Reverb.

Tried it out with my pedal board and Rickenbacker. It still sounds awesome though.

Theres a Super Reverb where I rehearsea and I sometimes play it. Its from the 80s but its a head and cab, had never seen it before. Amazing sound, It must be pretty similar.
Weird, I cant find info about it in the internet.

Okay, live I hated the sound.

I'll have to sit and fiddle with it some more, but it sounded thin and mushy to me, not full and defined like my Vox.

I found it cut through better than the Vox. Of course, I was drunk and dancing with your sister and girlfriend.

Yup.

Once I get the other one back I'll have the option of running it with the cab too or run them in stereo.

Apparently the AC30 head sounds a little less like a Vox and a lot like a late 60's Marshall plexi head.

MG was in Toronto today and he called me from Steve's saying they had some crazy deal on Vox stuff, so he bought it for me. The head wasn't in stock, so I won't have it for a couple of weeks.

Ok, so here are my guitars. I'm not really as enthusiastic as I used to be about guitar - I'm more into piano now. That said, let's start with my first real guitar, a crappy Mexican Strat I've had for 15 years which I love...

It began as a regular cream coloured Strat. I then painted it silver. I found the silver paint came off on my clothes, so I covered it in white fur, a la ZZ Top. The fur became matted, so I took it off and covered it in fake vinyl wood veneer. I got tired of the wood veneer, so I covered it in brown velvet, complete with furniture tacks along the outside edge of the pick guard. She's out of commission these days and needs rewiring, as you can see.

A sticker my little sister gave me to "decorate" my guitar. I used it to cover up the Squier logo, back when I cared about stuff like that.

While my beloved guitar stands silent, I've been using a friend's Guild. It's noisy as hell but I like the growl. Grrrr.

Ultimately, I'd love one of these...

...along with the matching bass.

Dude, where's the Silvertone?

The Moog pedals are nice, but they have such a large footprint that they're not practical for gigging unless you have a huge board and have lots of room when you play. They have Moog plug-ins of that series of pedals that we use in the studio that sound great.

The Silvertone is in pieces at my mom's - I think. Unless it was tossed before the reno. I hated that guitar.
