BUTCHERED?

much offense taken.

I am a pretty resourceful guy, good with my hands, do a lot of research to gain an understanding of the task before actually doing it. It's not like i'm going to tackle this tonight with a butter knife and a hammer. it's going to be a labour of love my friend.

alright i've been thinking about this for the past few days. and i am going to make 'rocky.'

I'm completely obsessed right now. Scouring the internet for techniques and other people's experience with said project. Now all i need is some free time. Eitherway, sooner or later it's going to go down and i can't fucking wait!

i picked up a fender mustang amp last week and this is pretty much the best $100 piece of equipement out there. (well $109). I'm a minimalist when it comes to gear. i don't have any pedals or effects other than a wah. So i am over the moon with the sound potentials of this amp. Every effect i could ever want is found here. Reverb, echo, chorus, flanger, tremolo, and on and on. I just made a setting with a pretty sweet 50's type slapback thing. sounds great.

I did a fair bit of reading on this model before i bought it and i gotta say the raving reviews have been spot on. So much awaesomeness can come out of this little box.

I am looking for firstly a midi, the axiom 49

the guitars I am looking for are

and a prs torero, do any of you guys own this? or the prs se custom 24, its much cheaper, but i want to know if the torero is worth the extra money.

Hey box1992, i can't say i know anything about either of the guitars you mentioned, but as for where to buy an instrument, i can add my 2 cents. I'd really look through kijiji or craigslist if you want to get the best deals. I like long and mcquade for new intruments because they charge the most fair prices. I find there you always pay the fair market price no matter what (unless i'm mistaken). There's a couple guitar shops in port credit that i've popped into. One's called LA music, the other is on the south side of the street and is called guitar world i think. That one sells second hand stuff, but i wasn't really wowed by either. I'd call them up and ask them over the phone if they have ibanez's or PRS. I'd call a bunch of stores and enquire. I'm really fond of a store called Capsule music on queen in Toronto that has good pricing on second hand guitars, but i think their stock is mostly classic guitars. It's about a 20 minute walk from Steves.

you can get a pro tools mbox mini (without the software) for a pretty good price on ebay, and then just use garage band to record. that's one option anyways. are you looking to mic it or just go direct?

just starting to learn the guitar sparingly. Gotta say, it's gonna feel good to be able to play an instrument.
