Hey Acie,

You're a pro, maybe you can answer this question for me.

How much of a difference can there be tone wise with 1 speaker as opposed to 2?

A 2x12 migh have a bit more bottom end, but you also don't have to crank up a 1X12 as much to get it break up and get a nice crunchy tone.

I let one rip yesterday and it sounded like I had a Crybaby hooked up to my ass.

Has anyone played Hagstrom guitars? I have heard good thing about their semi-hollows. The price is affordable, thats why Im interested. And the fact that they are sexy as hell helps too.

Buy Hagstrom Jazz Model HJ-600 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar | Semi-Hollow and Hollow Body Electric Guitars | Musician's Friend

Hey, 15 bucks for a twelve pack when you're a broke ass teenager is a pretty good deal.

haha. well it is pc strong... and as acie said, it was about the price at the time. but looking back, there wasn't a lot of though that went into that. i really think it was just what was lying around my place after a party. i put the molson stock ale in the most prominent place and then added my two favourites - upper canada rebellion and lager - on to the front and tail of the lower section. after that i just threw stuff on. frankly i'm a lot more embarrassed by the labatt ice.

also, there's a jam label on the back that says 'robertson's shred' which is pretty skidly too.

Nice.

A few years ago a site I've bought pedals off of in the past sent out an email saying they had new Gretsch Duo Jets for $999.00. They retail for over $2000.00, so I immediately jumped on the offer only to be emailed a few hours later that just before I placed my order someone had bought the last one. I think they made a mistake by pricing it so low and once they figured it out to save their asses they had to tell a lot of people they had none left. I was pissed off.

pretty sweet SG. I dont really think I can afford buying a guitar anytime soon. But I would like a hollow or semihollow. Have heard good things from hagstroms and I would love Scofields Ibanez.

Acie,

Another question for you good sir.

I remember awhile back you were mentioning how you bought (or maybe already had) that red SG?

Looking at maybe buying one, never got a chance to play it though.

You a big fan?

Just started learning to play the bass guitar. Would you guys suggest I play a 3, 4, or 5 stringed bass?
