That's fine, but you can't honestly lump them in with the others mentioned here as one of the greatest of all time. From a shock value point of view ... maybe ... but not from a musical stand point.

Yeah, with most bands it is, but with Tool I notice it much faster.

For the record, I only have a double chin when I'm looking down like that.

There are no great rock bands, only great fans.

Sj is always right.

Bah,

Personal preference- one of the greatest-

If giving answer as to one of the greates would never mention them.

But I do feel that they are a very smart band and outside of prison sex I wouldn't call them a shock.

Bah!

Ever played to a crowd of several thousands?

Ever showcase for a major label?

Ever had your songs play on radio stations across the world?

Ever received a royalty cheque from SOCAN?

Acie knows...Acie plays.

My neck can be seen from space.

I have been told that it shines brighter than Vegas.

I am a redneck but I hate country (with the exception of Cash and Nelson)

Don't argue with me.
Regardless, there's no comparison there. Nirvana breaks and ushers in a whole new "genre". Without Nirvana's success, there's no Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, etc, being the biggest bands of that era. 50 million records sold compared to NIN's 20 and Nirvana only had a 3 year run. Trent's great and for sure better live, but he wasn't, wouldn't have been or ever will be a mass market icon.

Argue THAT.

Soundgarden was already out and already had a grammy nomination in 1990.

How many of those Nirvana albums sold posthumously?

BTW, Snooch my point wasn't to make myself look good. It's a running joke where SJ says he knows about more basketball than anyone here because he played, so I was giving it back to him in the discussion becuase I play music.
