Disney president and chief executive offer Bob Iger told The Wall Street Journal that three Marvel properties are being adapted for the small screen:

WSJ: In the past year-plus you've made two splashy acquisitions: Marvel and Playdom. How are the integrations of those two companies progressing?

Mr. Iger: [With Marvel] we've taken back distribution, or bought back distribution from [Viacom Inc.'s] Paramount, for some critical franchises. Notably, "Iron Man 3" will be distributed by us, and "Avengers." We're developing three live-action series for ABC and ABC Family. You can buy Marvel products at Disney stores. And we're working on Marvel games.

As was previously reported, a new live-action series based on The Incredible Hulk is in development for ABC while a "Cloak and Dagger" series is said to be headed for ABC Family. What do you think the third series should be?

hate to admit it, but i have to agree...i've been waiting with baited breath for quite some time now to see this...left me a tad disappointed
looks (for a lack of a better word) "cartoony"

after looking at it a couple of times in HD i think it might have to do with the fact that the movie is in 3D
i remember thinking the same thing when i first saw the Avatar trailer...it just looked too clean and polished..then when i saw the movie in 3D the effects looked phenomenal
so at this point i'll hold out on my final judgement :)

oh and btw...they have absolutely nailed Sinestro...Mark Strong looks fucking amazing !!

here's the trailer at 1080p..

Sam Rockwell is one of the most underrated actors you'll ever hear of, but I think he's alright with that lol, he still has quality movies coming out

He was brilliant in Moon, watched the movie when it first came out but got a chance to watch it on blu ray again last weekend :yeah:

He's been starring in the TV show Rescue Me since 2004, but Denis Leary's only movie roles since 2002's The Secret Lives of Dentists have been documentaries and the Ice Age franchise. The comedian-turned-actor is set to return to live action in a big way, however, as Denis Leary is now in negotiations with Columbia Pictures to play Captain George Stacy in the Spider-Man reboot. Captain Stacy was a very important character in the early years of the Amazing Spider-Man comic book series. Unlike J. Jonah Jameson of the Daily Bugle, Stacy was cop who actually loved what Spider-Man was doing, and was also a father figure to young Peter Parker. His daughter Gwen Stacy was also one of Peter's early romantic interests, and will be played in the reboot by Emma Stone. There's more to the Captain Stacy story, which this writer won't spoil (though the linked story above totally does). It's also unknown if that particular plot element will be included in the Spider-Man reboot anyway.
