Google+

Just started playing around with Google+.

It is awesome, this thing might actually give Facebook a run for its money. Google will change social media.

It's like all social media rolled into one.

Anyone else have it?

Yup. used it for a week now.
Mostly use it for 'hangouts'...and I +1'd this site :)

It looks like a fair bit more than just social media. It looks like some really useful stuff for all kinds of purposes.

Not sure if it can overtake Facebook, but it should be an interesting alternative.

Facebook just has too much users right now, and a lot of them are fine with it. I don't expect a lot of users to go over to Google+.

is facebook better than twitter? I have a lot of fun with that

They're 2 different things in my opinion. Twitter is where people just post whatever is on their minds. It's mostly revolved around trendy topics and retweeting stuff. I don't have one since it would be too much work trying to maintain one. Instead, Facebook is where people interact with friends by chatting and sharing things.

they wouldnt let me join

I work with Social Media alot, and for companies like mine, Twitter is miuch more valuable than Facebook.

That being said LX is right. Google+ can really change the landscape. As a Marketer, this could change everything. For sure SEO will never be the same.

I had trouble because my usual google account username got auto-filled in the space that asks for an email. I wasn't even sure what email address I ever gave them. I took a guess and asked for a password reset, and they emailed the instructions. I'm not sure if the username I had before means anything anymore. I guess they want to use email addresses as an identifier in order to keep multiple accounts limited.

Yea I have it. It looks good but none of my friends made the switch over so it's not that fun xD

For me, Google+ likely won't replace Facebook. I've been on it since they started giving out invites for beta-testing, and it's still lacking a few things for me.

But social media is a part of my gig, so it's yet another thing I have to conquer.

The GOOD thing is how it will keep everything in one place, and make things easier that way.

I dunno if you guys can see this, but it explains why it'll be handy, and NOT as a social media outlet.

Google + Video

I have been on it for or a week or so now, have a look at my twitter traffic since it was launched...I almost forgot twitter existed.

I just rebooted my google+ though, wanted to start fresh.

Google's really making moves. I use google documents for my online class, my team can collaboratively work on a word document in real time while chatting with each other.

My close friends and I all switched over to google + and loving it. I left my hordes of acquaintances and parents who I don't care to know what I'm doing over at facebook.
