Default Goodbye George

The great great great George Jones died today at 81. For a dude that got so wrecked on cocaine in the 80s that he talked only in the voice of Donald Duck for a month, and who drove a tractor lawn mower to the liquor store when his car keys were taken away from him, he did pretty well to make it to 81.

I got to see him at Lulu's Roadhouse in Kitchener about 20 years ago. And I might have listened to his music more than anyone else's over the years. Here are some of my favorites.

That's not the same era. They did overlap, but George was closer to Hank than Conway in his heart.

Like Elvis, JC & Nel young.....don't know the rest. Not a fan of country music for the most part, find it overall depressing. but some of it is ok.
