Not sure how many people here have read the book, or maybe even ventured to the Swedish version of the movie (which i though was not very good).

The American version is coming out soon, and the trailer itself is better than most movies I have seen lately. With that David Fincher just blew my mind with a piece of the viral campaign.

Those of you who have read it will get it. Those who have not, should.

I could be talking to myself here, but thats not new, its the only way I can converse with my equal.

Really can't recommend the book enough. The other 2 were meh..but the dragon tattoo was awesome.

Getting A graphic novel treatment too.

so the trilogy is in this order ??

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
The Girl Who Played With Fire
The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest

and can you tell me if all 3 are in book form now (i have no idea )

if so, then i think i'll put them on my Santa list for this year

edit...looks like i can get all 3 in 1 with the Millennium series ????

Yep I've read all three. The first is truly amazing, its like reading a Frank Millar novel.

Next 2 are good...but not stinking of the awesomeness of the first one.

I watched the Swedish version on cable. The subtitles were difficult to follow though, because I was watching on a fairly small screen, at least smaller than I think the producers intended it to be watched on.

The swedish version was okay. There were a couple of REALLY graphic scenes that contributed to the harshness of the storyline, but I don't want to post any soilers, so I won't offer any further thoughts about that. All I'll say is, I'm curious to see how Hollywood cleans it up.

Oh, and Rooney Mara looks terrible in this film; not her acting, just her appearance. She is so cute in real life. They made her look fugly. They didn't have to fuck with her eyebrows so much. In the Swedish film, the young woman is still looks doable.
