I just watched Big Trouble in Little China. What a great flick.
Back to the Future was pretty awesome until they made those crappy sequels. Uncle Buck and Big were great too. |

My Dad taped so many movies off cable during the 1980s. I love the movies from that decade, even though I didn't watch half of my 80s favourites until the early 90s. I could probably name a hundred, as I'm sure others could, but here is what I can think of off the top of my head.
-Karate Kid -Ferris Bueller's Day Off -Raiders of the Lost Ark -Fast Times at Ridgemont High -Uncle Buck -The Great Outdoors -Secret of My Success -Back to the Future -Teen Wolf -Can't Buy Me Love -Breakfast Club -St. Elmo's Fire -Lost Boys -Say Anything -Andventures in Babysitting -Stand By Me -Dead Poet's Society -Stand and Deliver -UHF And there are so many cheesy actions movies to love. |

Very true. And I love 80s cheese. I rarely appreciate or enjoy a contemporary cheesy movie, but I never stop loving most of the cheese I watched as a kid. Apollo just listed a few awesomely cheesy action movies. Running Man = epic with extra cheese

We forgot Hoosiers! Even though it's not a typical 80's film, but rather one of the greatest movies of all time, it came out in 1986.
The Raps need to hire Gene Hackman. He'll get Bargs to play some D. |

This may sound weird, but i think the 80's was the greatest decade when it came to cinema.
One just need watch Masters of the Universe, any one of the Police Academy films, Revenge of the Ninja, or Red Sonja to see what i'm talking about. OK.. maybe not the greatest decade, but the entertainment provided by 80's movies is second to none. Honestly i love this time period way too much to just name a few movies. There are soooo many good ones to pick from, but i will just leave you with one: Probably my favorite 80s movie of all time is a little production called Gymkata. Those of you that know what i'm talking about will uinderstand why of all 80's movies i picked this very one. For those of you have never heard of it, you have not yet truly lived. |

I think almost every John Hughes film was picked. No question when it comes to 80s mainstream Hughes was on the pulse.
I always like this movie even though it only had one scene in almost the entire film. Clip of Bender walking on the wall tiles. I always wondered about the punchline of his joke |
