I won $150 panasonic headphones from princess Margaret and I opened them. Now the Dre solo hds are 150 as well at best buy. I regret opening the headphones, should I sell them and get the solos

No. No one will buy them for face value, even if you never opened them.

Yo, bud.

I lined up at 5AM on Boxing Day at Best Buy with the sole purpose of copping solos for 130. While I was in line for the headphones a Best Buy employee came around pushing warranties on anyone buying Solos or Studios.

I thought it was kinda sketchy so I asked him why they were pushing warranties so hard on the Beats. Apparently there's a defect with the metal clips (used for sizing the headphones) and they break, constantly, past use. The guy I was talking to said he'd been through 8 pairs in a year and a half.

The warranty was $40, but on a pair of $120 headphones (which was a sick deal initially) the deal wasn't worth it to me anymore so I walked away.

If you feel like paying $160 ($190 for you I guess) is still worth it, and you're willing to take the headphones in every time they break then all the power to you. I'd advise against it though.

naw their just trying to force you into buying the warranty...do Best Buy employees really not get commission on warranties? Cause they push you into getting one every single time.

I've had mine for a year now, everyday use on the bus, fold them up in class, apparently the older models had problems and broke apart. Mine feel a lil flimsy sometimes too cause u can fold them up and everything but they've been solid for me.

8 pairs in a year and a half? Wtf is this dude doing with his headphones?

My panasonics use a battery and isolate noise so that IMO makes it better but the cord is annoying

I have a really hard time understanding some of you guys here.

Whenever I buy anything electronic, and I mean anything, I do some research on it first and make sure it's worth spending my money on.

I don't care who's wearing, who owns it, etc.

If I'm spending any cash, I want to make sure that what I'm buying is a good product.

In hindsight I read some reviews online and lots of people are having the same issues even with the new headphones. Maybe you just have the magic touch haha.

I got my White Solo's for free, (airmiles) and they are nice. I wouldn't spend 210 for them. But they are better than a lot of other head phones. And try not stretching them when you take them on and off.

My mom usually uses her card every time she fills up the car. And other times, the beats were 1,950. But my mom had roughly 5,000 points collected over 2-3 years I believe.
