I already told your parents. But I also told 'em not to worry, because you weren't even going on the good sites. Then I showed them the good sites.

You're welcome.

hell yeah lolll

ok for real though, a mac book pro 13.3 inch, 4 gb memory, and 320 gb space

lenovo 15.6 in, 8 gb mem, and 750 gb space

or hp pavilon 15.6 inch, 6 gb memoroy, 750 gb space

mind you i am completely clueless when it comes to computer lingo and shit...i hate going to any computer store or section and have those experts try to explain the features of a computer to me cuz i don't understand anything that comes out their mouth =x

Out of those I would go with the Lenovo. I have heard bad things about HP's and how they break down pretty fast. I have never liked Macbooks so I am biased there. Also, I have heard great things about the lenovo's plus you get more RAM and hard-drive with it. How much are all of those laptops? If this is the Lenovo you are talking about : Costco - LenovoŽ Y570 Laptop IntelŽ i7-2630QM, 15.6-in. HD LED 8 GB, 750 GB I would def buy that. It is a beast.

i've finally started to assemble all my new computer parts so i thought i'd resurrect this old thread
i've been planning the build for quite some time now...space is limited so i've configured everything to fit in my office but at the same time i've gone for as much power as possible

started with a mid tower (because of space)...the NZXT H440...incredibly versatile case with special SSD slots over top of the power supply area...and the colors match my Deadpool theme

went out yesterday to pick up a few more items...concentrated on my cooling...picked up the Corsair H105 CPU Cooler
normally this is mounted on the top of the case but i'm going to front load it and use a push/pull fan system with it (for optimum air flow)
the H105 includes 2 Corsair fans on the radiator and i purchased 2 extra Corsair SP120s (for the push/pull)
i also bought a Corsair AF120 (quiet edition) to replace the stock fan at top-front
then i purchased 3 AF140 RedLED Quiet Edition fans for the rear and top of the case
so that's a total of 8 fans...should be excellent cooling

my motherboard was on sale so i decided to pick it up while i was there as well...turns out they only had one left and they gave me another 10% discount on top of the sale price because it had been opened
this gaming motherboard kicks ass...and looks badass as well

the MSI Z87 GD65

i was considering a lot of different keyboards but in the end i decided on the Steelseries APEX...one of the top 3 on the market right now...imho

going to keep updating this as i add more hardware and start to build

You should go with water cooling especially if you are spending 3k+, much better than fans

Ya liquid cooling is a lot better if you're willing to spend for it. Also very smart choice on going with MSI

I thought about it but i went with fans because of the mid tower...imho, a proper water cooling system is better suited to a full tower
My H105 will do an excellent job of cooling the CPU and the other fans will provide premium airflow across the case

Space is my biggest concern so i had to go with the mid...even considering going without the 3 screen setup...measured the space today and it would have a massive footprint ...so i might go with my alternate plan (which will still be awesome)

I built my rig in January and went with the ASrock board and I decided to drop more money on the graphics card and went with the 770 GTX.

Went with a very basic but solid case.

which model number did you go with on your ASrock ?...i'm looking and there seems to be a few different ones ?

i'm going with the 770 as well (MSI GeForce GTX 770 Twin Frozr 3 4GB)

i had originally planned to use an "Eyefinity" setup (3 screens) and an SLI config on 2 770's to power them...but after doing a measurement on my desktop i've sadly come to the conclusion that the footprint is just too big ...so i will go with 1 770 or possibly move up to a 780i to run the single (34"Ultrawide) 21:9 screen that i have my eye on
i'll probably stick with the 770...should be more than enough juice...and i can always add another down the road if need be

oh and btw...you can't go wrong with a CoolerMaster...congrats

I am planning on going with the MSI GeForce GTX 660. Do you think it would still be okay? I don't want to spend 3 bills on the graphic card alone right now. Also my motherboard is a mini atx, is it okay to go with a mini case or shold I go with mid tower, I have the same heatsink as you
