mitch hedberg and jim gaffigan are really good standups.
when i was leasing my truck (lease ended now unfortunately), i had serious sat radio... the comedy station was pure gold! sitting in traffic listening to 5 minute standup clips made driving so much fun.

Sirius Sat radio has been a life saver for me since I sit in my car 8-12hrs most days.

not Russell Peters though. his act gets old quick.
I agree Peters act is recycled although admire the guy. I remember attending Seneca College and watching his act in front of a mere 30 people. Dude has come a long way.

Agree with the others you mention and have to add Carlin to the mix

Hedberg was the best. A classic.

I respect his come up too but he sold out, got rich and slowed down a bit. He never progressed as a comedian, stayed at the same level imo, guy's funny but his act is old now.

Well he tried movies but Canadian movies just don't go far. Personally don't like the guys act but admire a Toronto kid making it so far. Unlike Jim Carrey he is ok by saying he is Canadian

HILARIOUS Canadian Jon Dore - he walks the line (and sometimes crosses it) of being offensive and is quite crass, but he's awesome if you're not easily offended.

@ 2:15 - my favourite part!

PS if you can find Jon Dore and Rory Scovel - together on Conan - it was one of the funniest things I've EVER seen!

Jon Dore is awesome. The Jon Dore Television Show is a good ratio of weird/funny for when you're stoned.
