And just to agree with earlier sentiments, Bale was pretty justified in blowing up on that set. I'd be just as livid.

Bale had indeed warned the DP on multiple occasions about messing with lights while the cameras were rolling, and Bale was in the midst of a painful scene with Bryce, what was described to me as being the emotional center of the film and his character for the film.

Now, the reason I know all of this is because the person that was there, felt that it should be made perfectly clear that Christian Bale was the utmost gentleman and cool guy on set. And the DP really was doing something that professional DPs with experience just don't do. Not during a performance.

good to hear another side of this story. Bale still did go a little too far. He is human though and can make mistakes and above all he is a hell of an actor wich is all I care really.

this arguement can go both ways.
Bale is calling out the guy for being unprofessional, yet he flips out at him in front of the entire set for 5 minutes. is that professional?

i'm with insider. you deserve something like that if you killed someone drunk driving, not changing the lighting.

bale isn't a good actor. he nails good scripts for roles that involve emotion-less pretty boys. he's terrible boring. has anyone seen him in harsh times? yeah, he sucked outside of his only element. big time!

As for whether he's a good actor or not, thats your opinion, I don't care one way or the other, almost every actor on the planet is a slave to a good or bad script, so to be honest, I don't think any of it matters.

hahah, thats probably why he freaked out so badly on the DOP... it probably took him 2 days to get into character for that emotional scene. and when he got side tracked, he lost that train of thought and wasted 2 whole days of concentration.
