no CFL thread??....

season is starting soon.....but i have a question for everyone.....
if you are the Lions, do you want Casey Printers back?....he had one good year with us, and apparently hes a cancer in the locker room......and he hasnt proved that he can play elsewhere.....i would much rather see Pierce start........any thoughts?....and wold you want him on your team?

convinced that Raptors fans are only happy when they're unhappy.

On paper the CFL game seems like it would be more exciting and free-flowing, but in reality it's usually about as exciting as watching a high school game.

The CFL is a good league and the game is alright. The problem is I'm not that big of a football fan.

I'd still say though that the CFL has a better game than the NFL.

when you speak of a league you speak in general terms

candlestick and metrodome are low quality stadiums, but in general, NFL has great stadiums

as far as i'm concerned, the NFL is the most boring sport on television next to Nascar. I actually don't mind watching a CFL game here and there, but like Claudius, i am just not a big fan of American football.

Stil, that being said, i prefer the CFL over the NFL hands down. I find the games pretty entertaining, and the talent quite high as well. saying it's a low-talent league is a pretty bogus claim. Clearly the talent is inferior to the NFL, but IMO, it's still the second highest in the world.

Besides that, i appreciate the atmosphere in such areas like Montreal, Calgary, Hamilton, and Sask.

The NFL is just way too over-produced and overly commercial for my liking.

yeah, that's right. I find the NFL is more commercialized than any of those mentioned.

I just don't care for that league at all.

I don't like any football. CFl included. It is just so boring. Especially the part where there are 15 minute breaks between each posession. Say if a guy gets takled, 15 minutes they'll start again

I saw a blue bombers playoff game, it was half empty
I know there are exception (riders)
Ive been to high school/college/NFL games and the closes comparison to CFL is Division II football
I'm not ragging on CFL for no reason , I hope it improves, but right now it's not great

Hey A007 (or anyone else that would know)... Are the BC Lions going to get a new stadium? I know that in 2011 Vancouver will join the MLS and it is my understanding that they're going to totally convert BC place (or whatever that bubble stadium is called) to a soccer only facility, making it a smaller stadium at the same time, partially removing the roof, etc.

So what's the plan for the Lions?
