Wire is to urban city drama as Six feet under is to family drama.

Both well written and you are right there with these characters as they evolve.

i love entourage, but there's no arguing that the show is pretty bad. if it weren't for ari, llyod and the tremendous amount of babes on the show, i'd probably rather watch the kardashians.

I never got into Entourage.
Suits is a good show... should have been in the top 10 or received an honorable mention.

I liked Enlightened, although I wouldn't freely recommend it. It moves at an odd pace and defies categorization. Laura Dern is simply one of the greatest actors alive. And I like Mike White. It's just kind of difficult to sus out what the show is about. Once I caught on to the way it depicts corporate culture it helped a bit. The second season might really take off.

The Wire is the best show of all time.

And I just watched the finale of Dexter. Amazing.

Only problem is, this is a sign that the show could only have 1 maybe 2 more seasons left with this happening. I'm really interested to see where they take the show from here.

Ari Gold was absolute greatness.

I still can't believe that they didn't go with Piven for Sheen's old role in 2 & 1/2 men.

"Sloan" rocked my world so hard too. What a babe.

Great show. Even better books. I spent my summer going through that series.

with you 100%. suits is awesome. mike and harvey are an awesome duo.

i can't remember the name of the other lawyer show on before it, but it's pretty good as well.

i typically shy away from reading novels that are 800-1000 pages long, let alone five of them, but after watching the first season, i've taken it up.

anyone watch justified?

i've resisted reading game of thrones because he's not done writing the series yet. at the rate he writes books, it will be ages before there is any conclusion. i've been disappointed with that before. i remember reading 9 books of a 10 book series once, only to find that book 10 hadn't been written yet. by the time (2.5 years) the next one came out, i had lost interest, and forgotten characters and story lines. given that martin is still adding new characters in parallel story lines as of book 5, i think this will easily happen with 6 and 7.

i've heard great things, but will wait for sure.

I need some new shows to download. What are some "can't miss" ones that are a few seasons in already?

suits - first season just finished

justified - two seasons deep. third starts in january

i'm not big into law/law enforcement type shows, but the characters in these two shows make it worth watching.

Suits finished a while ago, before the fall TV season. It will return summer 2012.
