Hell on Wheels looks like shit. I saw like 5 minutes and that was enough for me. Soap Opera on the railroads, nahhhh, zombies are the hot ticket right now.

They should rename The Walking Dead and call it The Little House on the Prairie

At least the acting was better in Little House.

I would rather watch one of the wifes vampire shows that that crap.

Season 1 I really liked, now it just blows.

im actually enjoying this season of Walking Dead.... its more character focused. you cant be chased by zombies every episode, there needs to be peaks and valleys.

although i've enjoyed the character development during the last few episodes, i have to agree that enough with the "valley"
mid-season finale is next week and i expect things to heat up because of it...if not, i'll start to lose interest

I dunno dude.... I LOVED "Six Feet Under" and that was ALL drama....

Walking Dead just doesn't do it right for me. Spending this whole damn season looking for a little girl is annoying the crap outta me.... and I REALLY want every female on the show to get eaten lol.

"Oh hai! Sorry for sleeping with your best friend, but I thought you were dead!!"

WTF? How long was Rick in the hospital for? Maybe 2 or 3 weeks tops? Quality mourning time there.

AMC slashed the show's budget big time this season, which is why so much of it has been spent in a house rather than "out on the road" like it was in S1. The execs really seem like a bunch of assholes who are only concerned about lining their pockets with cash. Sucks.

The second season of How to Make it in America was better than the first. It's not a great show, but it's better than a lot of other crap. I remember somebody expressing dissapointment with the first season (thought? or maybe Someguy? I can't remember). I suspect they put a little more effort into the second season because Entourage is done now. HBO is probably hoping some of the old Entourage fans will watch HTMIIA.

The use of dead people to advance the narrative is starting to feel really overused now. It worked really well in Six Feet Under, and was clearly suitable there. At this point it feels like a device that writers just can't avoid. The fact that it showed up on Walking Dead illustrates how unfocused this season is. There is some interesting character development, but mostly within a vacuum rather than through interactions.

i'm not loving the second season all too much, but it's hard to measure up to the first since everything and everyone was virtually unknown when you first started watching it. the excitement isn't there because you know what to expect, you know how everyone will react and we've all watched 28 days later, so we know how society will collapse amongst each other, right?

it's enjoyable, but the build up is different than most shows that we're used to. you can't really incorporate any new mysteries into the show to add the element the first season had to it. it really has no where else to go but the occasional zombie attack and the struggles amongst each other. all this season has done is create loose canons out of andrea and daryl and whisper conflict into glenn's ear. there's a little too much drama and not enough suspense going on.

One show I'm a little disapointed in so far this season is Boardwalk Empire. Slow as fuck 40min of every show.

The character complexity and storylines have been incredible. It's been one of the best shows i've seen over two seasons.
