To each his own i guess
I haven't read the books or comics...in fact i'd never even heard of it till the tv series was announced
That might be helping cause i had no expectations going in

Checked The Kingdom...looks pretty weird...i like
Thanks

Halfway through the first season of Vikings, enjoying it so far.

Halfway through the second season of the Americans, great show.

Watched the first couple episodes of Tyrant. Not a feel good show by any means, but the premise is fantastic and I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

Same I was excited when saw that this show is by Del Toro, but Its not all that great IMO. Don't find it to be scary at all, disappointing.

The last episode of the strain interested me for the sole reason that they shot a few scenes in Hamilton (the scene with Setrakian in the court and out of the court).

It should pick up right now based off where they are in the book.

On another note, John Oliver's show to me is now must watch. And I've also enjoyed the leftovers more than I thought I would.

CHA-CHING!!

Quote:
Big Bang Theory leads Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kaley Cuoco have reportedly struck a new three-year deal with WBTV that ensures they have financial parity with one another -- agreeing to a whopping $1 million per episode for 72 more installments and ancillary production deals, which comes to approximately $90 million in earnings each. Bazinga, indeed.

According to Deadline, if the deal has in fact been made, production should resume for the upcoming eight season on August 6th. The Big Bang Theory leads will apparently get "larger pieces of the show, signing bonuses, production deals and advances towards the back-end," meaning that the trio will get a greater ownership of the series (up from 0.25 percent), as well as production deals for their other desired projects in theatres and on television (i.e. the Galecki/WBTV-produced pilot No Place Like Home for FOX).
Quote:
If the show continues beyond its planned 10 seasons, the deal could rise above $100 million each for the trio of stars. This isn't all bad news for WBTV, as the series is expected to make over $1 billion in profits through "syndication and auxiliary markets."

Famously, the stars of Friends made a $1 million per episode deal near the end of their run, BUT it was Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt of Mad About You who did it first back in the 1990's (but seriously, where is it syndicated now?!)

really enjoying The Strain...the pace and storyline keeps expanding and the flashback to the camps (Eichorst/Setrakian connection) was a really nice touch

looking forward to seeing how the "exterminator" and the rest of the group hook up

Boardwalk Empire final season will only be 8 episodes. So ridiculous! 5 seasons and won't even get 60 episodes out of this show.

So i finally broke down and signed up for Netflix - pretty much just to stop my daughters from harassing me anymore.

I tried watching 'The 100' but it didn't really do much for me and I lost interest.

Then, on a recommendation from my neighbors, I started watching 'Orange is the New Black'.

I'm 6 episodes in now. Good show. Some great characters. And as a bonus, at least for me, it has Kate Mulgrew - who was Captain Janeway in Star Trek: Voyager.

I can't wait for the Leftovers soundtrack to come out, the music gives me so much emotion.

The Strain is an entertaining show but a lot of times they characters will have such stupid reactions and make horrible decisions to push the plot forward. Some freaky ass shit goes down tho so its worth a watch still.

love the fact that the writers have basically reversed the Dr around...he's gone from an old man in a young man's body (Matt Smith) to a young man in an older man's body (Capaldi)

Richard Sammel continues to impress me...he's rounding out to be THE best villain (Thomas Eichorst) on tv
the twist at the end of this episode (For Services Rendered) was a really nice "WTF" moment for Sue and I...can't wait to see who these guys/creatures are
