And he flipped out on the guy for calling him yellow king so you can suspect that Rust has some motivation since this guy knows secrets about Rust....but did that really happen.
I didn't think that he called Rust the yellow king. I just thought that he referenced it and mentioned other people being involved.

Also one of the two prison guards present when the prisoner "killed himself" was named Childress. Same last name as Ted Childress the sheriff. I think the implication was that Childress was involved in the inmates death to shut him up, rather than Rust having any involvement.

Officer Childress - sheriff Ted Childress - Errol Childress.

yeah - it would seem there is an internal conflict within Rust, but at the same time there is his external ability to influence events which may be real or imagined. I thought it was interesting how his near-death experience was all about to surrendering to darkness, not light. And as he comes into the realm of evil he hallucinates the flash of light. Everything gets flipped on it's head in terms of what is real and what is a twisted reality, and just where Rust's involvement lies within good and evil.

He does tell Marty that he is him. And Marty does serve his interests rather well in the end. He mows Marty's lawn which echoes the scarfaced dude (that unsolved mysteries clip is mind-blowing). The drawings on buildings look like his drawings. There is so much interplay with the mystery that is Rust and the unreliable narration that he provides. What does he hallucinate? What does he make up? What does he lie about? I suddenly want to watch the whole thing over again. Damn.

this makes sense. Because that was the concern that they have with getting ANY police involved in the end (aside from the black cop who Woody eventually trusts): that the Tuttle's and Childress family are everywhere and have contacts everywhere through law enforcement.

LX, interesting observation regarding the lawn mowing!

Yeah, man, this is a show that needs to be watched more than once.

Crazy how successful this show has been.

this #mcconnelling thing is too funny.

mitch mcconnell, the us senator from kentucky, released a bunch of footage with no audio to be used by the super pacs to create ads that he's not allowed to make himself. so the daily show just started adding music, and created the hashtag. some of the responses are hilarious.

I need a new show to get into. Just finished with True Detective and House of Cards.

Looking forward to season 4 of Game of Thrones.

Any suggestions? Shows I've watched and liked, The Wire, Californication, Sopranos...

Thinking about starting Mad Men.

I would recommend the Shield - it's solid. If you like GoT you will love Vikings.

Watched the first episode of the Killing a couple of weeks ago. I enjoyed it so not sure why I didn't continue watching.

I'll get at that one again soon.

I've been watching since the beginning. Not sure why I started. I wont put any spoilers but what happened will really change the dynamic of the show. Might actually hurt it.

So have i, and i agree that it changes everything. It seems to me to be a bit ridiculous but in it's 5th season....seems to be when shows start to try and shock which is often times when shows jump the shark. I hope not because i like this show
