personally i'd like to see more capone and more luciano/lansky/massaria. chalky has been a favourite character of mine in the past, but this season i just haven't been that into his storyline, particularly when Daughter got involved.
end of the season? Jesus, what is this an 8 episode season? The short seasons with these show is out of control imo. Used to be that a show would have a 6yr run and crack 100-120 episodes. Now six seasons is 60-70 episodes at best. Dexter in 8 seasons didn't even crack the 100 episode mark. breaking bad had 5 seasons.....62 episodes. ridiculous imo. lol

Will Ferrell is a producer in the show and has a character in it as well. Every once in a while you'll see a star in it. Seth Rogan was in a couple episodes and I can't really remember who else. I'm a few episodes behind so I can't say I've seen Sacha in it

In the past you also had the ability to run successful syndication. Now shows don't make a dime off it.

Lets face it Television has changed a lot. I also don't remember seeing TV productions written and produced as well as shows Like Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones and Broadwalk empire

i loved the first 2 seasons of eastbound and down, but it became too hard for me to watch after a while.

He actually reminds me of someone I know which makes it absolutely addicting to watch the asshole at work.

I can see how people can get turned off by the show though.

you have to consider that the production value of TV shows now is astronomically higher than it has ever been before.

on HBO for example, 1 hour episodes without commercials is the norm. in the case of the traditional network half hour program (including say, five to seven minutes of commercials), that's almost three episodes worth of television. if you're talking AMC, maybe 45 minutes of programming and 15 minutes of commercials which still works out to two-ish network episodes. besides, the 12 episode format lends itself better to the season-long story arc versus the episode-by-episode story arcs of the past.

Watched the 1st 2 eps of "Almost Human" last night.... and I'm a fan. Reminds me a lot of "BladeRunner". Hope it stays good.

Just saw the season finale for Boardwalk Empire. Holy Fuck. My head is spinning. Masterful yet again. And now it looks like Chicago and Capone definitely will be more central.

Great finale. Gotta say, I love the Dr. Narcisse character. Btw, I was shocked they killed off Richard

I whited out the name in case someone didn't see it yet. lol

It was well done too. Some major wallops throughout, literally and figuratively.
