That Dexter finale just didn't mesh with anything I watched during the season.

I found Ray Donovan more entertaining then the final Dexter season.

How was that not Harrison with Hannah in the final scene? Who was it?

yup..just watched it with Rogers on Demand

pretty impressed...nice mixture of action and humour...has a lot of room to grow with mysterious histories with a few of the characters (including Coulson)...really liked the way they mixed in Marvel references (although they would probably go over most viewers heads )
i think it has solid potential...will continue to watch with anticipation/interest

give the debut a solid 8.5/10

There was a short scene after that.

The whole season can be encapsulated in the one scene where the three are boarding the bus, and Dexter announces suddenly that he can't go. No internal dialogue. No talking it out with ghost dad. Just "hey, I gotta go get that bad guy come to think of it". It felt like every script decision was spaghetti noodles thrown at the wall.

It was Harrison. Who said it was wasn't? I meant that Harrison/Hannah scene wasn't the final scene.

Ray Donovan has become my favorite new show. Love the cast, can't believe the season is already over though. These shows seasons are far too short these days.

As far as Ray Donovan, I'm not sure a second season could be as intriguing since much of the character's past has already been addressed and that formed the real heart of the story. I would be satisfied with that show ending after one season.

You think other characters won't be introduced, or that a lot more is to come with Jon Voight's character? Or that what happened to Ray and his brothers as kids isn't going to further be explored. To me there are a lot of directions they can go with this type of show that can be very interesting. Season one was about layering these characters and introducing their back story. You think 12 episodes is all that'll be intriguing? I don't know, but I really enjoyed this show and can't wait for it to come back.

On a side note what channel is AMC on these with Rogers. Used to be 50, but now I can't find it. Supposed to be a BB marathon coming up, I thought it was to start today and wanted to watch it.

Mickey is entertaining. And watching Ray and his crew fix problems is also entertaining. But what happened to Ray and his brothers was the meat of the story, and I think further exploration of that story line will just end up repeating the first season. I don't really need to see if Bunchy finally gets it together now, I can kind of assume that he is going to. Or if Terry ends up with Francine. Ray opens up emotionally...? Mends his relationship with Mick any moreso then how they left it? Part of me feels like those questions are better left unanswered. It felt more like the ending of a good movie to me, with no sequel needed. If they do have a second season I will definitely be watching and I know it will be entertaining, I just don't think it will ever be as good as the first for me.

Well, it's already been picked up for a second season. But if you already think it won't be as good as season one, then for you it likely won't be. I want to keep an open mind and i'll be interested in which actors they bring on board. I enjoyed James Woods character.

I agree that they can't keep concentrating on the molestation SL. But every so often it should be brought up, in showing how it effects their lives now, their way of thinking, their relationship with their father and how it effects Ray's marriage.

Yup, I think it will take the first 4-5 episodes to get it rolling. But after that it is going to get really good.

I enjoyed Agents of Shield. I think I'm also going to be inevitably hooked on Sleepy Hollow.

Love Sleepy Hollow. Glad to see it getting great ratings.

Watched Mike J Fox Show and The Crazy Ones tonight. Like both, good to see two former big time actors step back into the spotlight.

Yeah. Cool take on the legend/story. And they've given it a lot of room for it to last many seasons if necessary.

Dexter was a fucking travesty this season. The 3 seasons before that were also disappointing but at least there were moments of suspense and Dexter being Dexter in those and it was still entertaining. This year they went out of their way to make the show absolutely 100% unrealistic and you could literally find 50 things in each episode where you think to yourself: 'that doesnt make any sense, and these writers should not be writing ever again, this is dogshit'.

Breaking Bad on the other hand has genius writers who keep the audience glued to their seats throughout and does a thorough job in telling a great story.

Dexter could have been one of the great shows ever, but they fucked it up big time after season 4.

The last season should have been Dexter being outed as the Bay Harbor Butcher and him being on the run, and at that point, who really cares how it ends, whether its him dying, getting arrested, or fleeing, the episodes leading up to that would have been awesome and the ending in any case would have left the viewers satisfied.

No one is satisfied with Dexter becoming a fucking lumberjack.

Couldn't agree more. BB stayed the right amount of time. Dexter should have ended after season 6.

It should have ended with Harrison in the pool of his mother"s blood. It didn't have to end with him getting caught. It would have gone full circle with him personally facing consequences and open ended questions as to what the future held. It was after that season that characters became terribly inconsistent.
