I won't give up on a show I love because of one episode. That being said, I pretty much agree that the show is on the verge of jumping the shark. I'll give it the first half to see if I stick with it. I'm thrilled though that Andrea is gone and Tyrese is with the group.

I've gotten into the Family Tree. It's a Christopher Guest thing, so it's a mockumentary, but with more of a reality tv feel like the office than what you see with his films. It has a good number of his regular cast members as well.

Watching the last season of Dexter. I have to say it doesn't really feel like Dexter anymore. Just going to finish to season just to see how they wrap it up.

i have started watching a lot of Travel network.

Favorite shows are anthony bordain ones (he has a bunch of stuff on CNN too) and this one show called scam city. Guy goes into a popular tourist city and tries to look at/uncover different scams aimed at tourists.

Dexter hasn't really felt like Dexter since season 3. There have been a lot of variations on a theme, some really good, some not much better than network TV fare. I've liked the last two seasons in that they connect directly to the first two, and are bringing a conclusion. The overall storyline is pretty loose as a result of trying to make everything work year after year, but if you look past all the resulting muddle it's cool to see it going somewhere definitive.

Yeah - I recommended it a few pages back. I compared it to War of the Worlds mixed with Revolution (not a fan of Revolution to be honest but my daughter watches it - she thinks Falling Skies is way better though). Can't comment too much on the Walking Dead comparison since I haven't watched since the 1st 3 episodes ages ago now, but from what I know of the show I think the analogy works.

I downloaded and watched the entire 1st season on a sick day a while back - haven't had a lot of time for TV since but I'm a few episodes into Season 2. Definitely worth watching. They are well into season 3 now - I gotta get back to it and catch up.

Waiting for Boardwalk Empire. Wonder if they show the assassination of Rothstein (1928), the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre (1929) and Luciano's rise to power since he is the father of the American mafia in 1931.

you'd have to figure at some point Luciano will feature more prominently in the show, given what he became in real life. Did Capone end season 3 in Chicago?

I think he is in Chicago. Capone is supposed to take over Torrio's spot soon.
They might spin off the Capone/Meyer Lansky/Luciano story. Don't know how they'll end it because Nucky doesn't go to jail until the 40's and in 3 seasons they've only went from 1920 to 1923.
