There are some fantastic standout episodes, but watching it all at once was a bit too much. And not seeing some key characters through a lot of different episodes weakened the whole thing. Didn't hate it, but it wasn't as good as the original. The movie could be great.

So, in 2-3 weeks I watched every episode of Game of Thrones. It's pretty good. It was kind of slow in season 1 but then at the end bam - s**t went down. My fav characters/plots r probably Dany, Tyrion, maybe Arya and maybe JSnow.

Yeah I'm just starting season 2 and can't wait to see where the show goes. Agreed that season 1 was slow at times but now it feels like everything that happens has huge implications.

Was sick a couple days so I downloaded and watched the 1st season of Falling Skies. Kind of a War of the Worlds with Revolution (which my wife an daughter like but I'm not a big fan of) mixed in a bit. Enjoyed it so I just downloaded Season 2.

Also watched the 1st season (or 1st Series since its British) of Utopia. Pretty messed up but worth watching - especially if your like British TV.

Paul Giamatti To Appear On ‘Downton Abbey’ Season 4 | News | Uinterview

Quote:
Paul Giamatti will appear in Downton Abbey’s fourth season finale as an American playboy.

Giamatti, 46, will play the role of Harold Levinson, brother of American countess Cora Crawley (Elizabeth McGovern), and the crew is happy to have him. “We’re excited that Paul Giamatti will be joining us on Downton to play Cora’s brother Harold, the rather free-spirited uncle to Mary and Edith,” said Gareth Neame, executive producer of Downton Abbey. “We can’t wait to see him work alongside Shirley MacLaine, who are both sure to upset the Grantham’s apple cart in this year’s finale.” In addition to playing Cora’s brother, Harold is also speculated to be a possible love interest for the recently widowed Mary Crawley (Michelle Dockery).

Giamatti, who is currently filming The Amazing Spider-Man 2, isn’t the only new actor appearing on Downton Abbey this season. Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Nigel Harman, Tom Cullen, Julian Ovenden and Gary Carr are also set to join.

Season four of Downton Abbey will premiere in the U.K. in the fall of 2013, and on Masterpiece on the PBS network in the U.S. Jan. 5, 2014.

Depends on if you are open to watching a period drama. If you're looking for action, violence, etc... then its not the show for you (there is some WWI action). I like the structure of the episodes and how problems are not stretched out for multiple episodes.
I personally like it and my favourite show is Breaking Bad.
