I tested letmewatchthis.ch and it works. I am going to watch a couple movies there this week. I just hope I don't get a virus.

I watched a british show called Broadchurch. It was an obvious attempt to piggyback on the success of Forbrydelsen, but it was good nonetheless. The lead investigators were interesting characters that worked well together, there were touches of Twin Peaks in the townsfolk and setting (a small coastal resort town in England), and there was some very fine camera work. It all begins with the death of a boy, like the child murders at the heart of Twin Peaks and Forbrydelsen. And there is a lot of interplay between the personal effect of the murder and the investigation itself. At 8 episodes it ends up being tighter than the danish counterpart which has 10-20 episodes per season, but it's almost too tight, lacking some of the space and time to really get pulled into the heads of the characters. And the ending is a bit too tidy and saccharine, whereas in Forbrydelsen resolution at the end just makes you think everything is more fucked up than ever throughout all of the society's bedrock institutions, which I find wonderfully dark. But the tormented scottish lead investigator alone makes Broadchurch very much worth watching.

It's all about Downton Abbey

I've watched all of season 3 and random episodes from season 1+2 - need to watch the rest.

Also - this is pretty funny:

there was another episode after that which was the season finale. you can watch it on history.ca. next season should be pretty epic.

and i don't know if i'd call it cheating. that society wasn't monogamous, and the historical figure has 3 wives and many children. it's just setting that stage, although i'm sure there will be some fireworks from it.
