I'm watching the second season, which I'm liking even more than the first. I love Mike White's abilities as a screenwriter. And Laura Dern just blows me away.

I find there's no character that is entirely likeable. They all make me squirm uncomfortably quite often. But they are also very real and relatable. I really like the direction the show took at the end of season one.

I think along with your assessment that age might be a requirement, i think it needs to be recognized that it comes from a very female–centric point of view. Which is pretty cool, but it's so uncommon that it can get you off-balance at times.

I'm watching the first season of Enlightened, too. I can't quite decide if I love it or not. LX is right, the characters really do make ya squirm no one is really likeable.

I'll keep watching.

The Walking Dead Return Gets More Viewers Than Ever

Quote:
Ever topping itself, The Walking Dead's midseason premiere for Season 3 earned its largest audience in series history last night, delivering 12.3 million viewers in the 9pm slot. The previous record was 10.9 million for the Season 3 premiere in October.

"When you look at numbers like this, the first thing that comes to mind is how grateful we are to the fans of this show. They embrace The Walking Dead in a way that we wanted to believe was possible but we never take for granted," said AMC president Charlie Collier. "The cast and crew put everything they have into making this show. They're a phenomenally talented group who truly give their all. We congratulate everyone involved."

This episode was also the strongest telecast for a basic cable series for adults 18-49 with 7.7 million. As it stands, The Walking Dead: Season 3 averages 6.8 million viewers in the coveted adults 18-49 demographic, outperforming network shows like Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory, Two and A Half Men, and NCIS.

The 4.1 million viewers who stuck around for The Talking Dead mean more people were watching The Walking Dead discussion show than many scripted comedies on FOX and NBC recently.

It's a zombie world and we're just living in it...

If you love watching Homeland, you'll enjoy The Americans. It's about 2 KGB agents posing as a typical American couple with kids.

I'm tearing through Forbrydelson (the killing) right now. Amazing thriller from Denmark involving a murder investigation that has a fateful impact on the life of a female detective and a political campaign. Or does fate ave anything to do with any of it? Pretty much all of the characters clearly have control over their lives, but have a heck of a time exercising that control. It's been around for a little while. Anyone else check it out?

Good episode of Arrow because they focused mostly on the island.

I gotta go back to praising Forbrydelsen (the Killing). You mentioned writing and wanting to see what comes next in the Dead thread Stonez. This show has that a ton. So many twists. You just never have any idea where it might go. If you can handle subtitles I would highly recommend it.

It's completely stuck in my head. I just want to watch the next episode. You keep edging closer and closer to the truth about who kills this girl at the beginning. And you see how it effects a political campaign and the family of the girl and the detectives and with all the unravelling it ends up feeling like you might just be getting farther away from the truth. Some really good acting within all the layers involved.
