ran across an article this morning that made me quite sad...i used to love this show as a kid...it aired in the mid 60s i believe
RIP Mr Anderson

Thunderbirds Creator Gerry Anderson Dies at 83

Quote:
The BBC is reporting that writer, director and producer Gerry Anderson passed away on December 26. He was 83.

Anderson is most well-known for his science fiction television shows such as Fireball XL5, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, Joe 90, Space: 1999, and Thunderbirds.

Nick Williams, the head of the Anderson's fanclub 'Fandersons,' said this: “To those who met him Gerry was a quiet, unassuming but determined man. His desire to make the best films he could drove him and his talented teams to innovate, take risks, and do everything necessary to produce quite inspirational works. Gerry’s legacy is that he inspired so many people and continues to bring so much joy to so many millions of people around the world.”

Anderson was diagnosed with mixed dementia two years ago and his condition was said to have worsened in the past six months.

Joe 90 was great too - especially for a kid that had glasses

I can only hope Anderson's dementia involved seeing puppets everywhere.

Love that show. Wish there was stuff like that here. Another great show is called You Gotta eat here. It's a canadian show, some guy goes all over Canada and points out great food, usally diners and smaller restaurants. I love that shit, i also like Man vs Food and of course the Iron Chef series.

Finished the 3rd season of Fringe. Thinking of stopping now. My interest has decreased.
The one character I do like is Walter. Only reason why I continued to watch the 3rd season.

Watching The Arrow

The show cycles through villains too quickly I think. Be great to see some of these antagonists last more than one show and establish some conflict with the Arrow. Is there a threat of cancellation that makes the story move so quickly?

I know there are points that get a little meh, but the show really picks up steam moving forward from there.

Very surprised.... by Season 3 they start doing the parallel universes don't they? I thought that that was the peak of the show TBH.

It's just called Arrow. Are you caught up because there is one antagonist who's going to be there all season.

Yeah. I just saw the episode with the other arrow. just hope theres some nice build up there. 20 mins of each episode feel like I'm watching Gossip Girl.

finished the third season where Walternate is beginning to team up with Walter. I liked the beginning where some of those cases seemed somewhat realistic. now the science is getting ridiculous. seeing you husband from a parallel universe causing a tear in the earth. combining the 2 densest elements make people float???

soul magnets.. WTH

I feel like there's going to be 3 or 4 versions of the same person in future episodes. future/parallel/past and real version. think its getting too weird to follow.

the character of Olivia really dropped after she returned for the alternate universe. The relationship contributed to this a lot.

finished watching the first season of house of lies just the other day

reminded me a lot of californiacation at first with all the nonsense, but i really started enjoying it once the depth in the characters started developing. i'll be looking forward to the second season!

There will be some nice buildup. Yeah I understand what you're saying - the show does have a lot of young elites/rich kids so that contributes to it.
