watched the latest SOA today

jax is becoming walter white. i really think they need to end this series sooner than later, everything they add is just making the show more stupid.

yet i keep watching...

The Mexican storyline is kind of fading away. shaping up to be a Jax/Nero vs. Clay/Irish storyline next season... and there's always Pope

don't know how they'll make 2 seasons out of that

watching the finale tonight. just watched last week's episode yesterday, i can't wait to see how it plays out.

i think part of the reason i enjoyed it so much was because margaret was out of the picture. i'm not keeping my hopes up for future episodes though.

boardwalk was brilliant!

i've been doing a lot of reading about season 4, and it's supposed to start in the middle of 1924 when capone and lanksy/luciano rose to power in chicago and NY. It's crazy to think that Lucky Luciano is basically the founder of the American-Italian Mafia. Just based on how history played out around that time, season 4 has a ton of potential.

is season 4 the final one?
this is the time when Chicago starts to be the main city for bootlegging. A lot of the focus will start to shift away from Atlantic City "The Boardwalk", to Chicago.

I hope not, i love this show. It's possible that they basically end this portion of the story and move on to Chicago and call it something else with it centered around Capone. That would be awesome.

they could do a spinoff show but they need a another big name actor for it to work i.e. one of his rivals or Elliot Ness.

They should do this show in blocks....

1- Atlantic city for 4yrs.
2-Chicago in the mid 20's-early 30's until Capone goes to Alcatraz.
3-NY City
4-Las Vegas and the start of the mob taking over the gambling and opening all those casinos

thats 2 spin offs right there. One about Capone and another about East coast guys going to Vegas. Would be cool but I don't know if HBO is going to dedicate another 5 years on similar projects. Its successful but not a massive success like The Sopranos.

as much as i love buscemi and cheer for nucky, he's one of the weaker characters on the show. there just isn't a lot of oomph there. i love stephen graham's capone, he's my favorite character on the show, admittedly i light up everytime he's on screen. chalky, gyp, eli, nelson (george), richard, and even gillian. they're all amazing.

Nucky was a pretty cool character to start with, and I like the way his character finished up, but yeah, he got less interesting through the bulk of the show. Richard was pretty great throughout. I'm wondering if he ended up offing himself.

skins: actually well made. character development was awesome, acting was a bit weak at points but the story revolves around teens so impressive regardless. really liked the first season
