Thumbs up Best Pizza in the GTA?

I'm on a quest to find the best Pizza in the GTA. Does anyone have a favorite place other then the usual chain Pizza Pizza, Domino's type of Pizza.

I've heard the Big Ragu downtown is pretty good along with Terroni Restaurant & Wise guys, apparently? Where do you go for the best Pizza in town?

For a pizza place that people always raved about, i always thought Amado's was overrated.

Gerrard Pizza on the Danforth is brilliant. Thick crust that is hard to beat.

I haven't made it to Pizzeria Libretto yet, but it is supposed to be damn good.

Try Pizza Depot. I usually eat that since it is close by. I like it a lot.

Theyre pizza is way too dry for my liking. Just out of curiosity, do you guys like thin crust pizza or thick crust pizza?

pizza depot??? any food place that ends with the word 'depot' can never be good.

speaking of overrated, never go to abruzzo pizza... absolutely horrible.

if you wanna try something new... order from a franchise (domino's, pizza hut, etc) and instead of pizza sauce, ask for garlic sauce, or bbq sauce... yumm yumm.

LOL. It is still pretty good, the depot in the name doesn't change it's taste

I'd have to agree, doesn't sound promissing.

When I lived in Toronto in the mid-90's, Amato's was good. Not only that, but it was delivered by these massively hot chicks who were probably dressed up to go out clubbing after their shift. Boing! That said, I've heard that it was sold at some point and the new owners didn't give a crap. Same thing happened to Massimo's on College, which recently closed after a fire, only to re-open as Vinny Massimo's on Queen.

This is over a year old, but whatever...

The Best Pizza in Toronto

My favourite pizza is La Hacienda on Pine St. just over the border in Niagara Falls, New York. Sammy's is good too. And Acie will remember slices from Calabria from back in the day.

Since you're from St. Catharines, have you ever had Pizza from Welland... Volcano's Pizza, Luciano's Pizza, Santo's Pizza. Luciano's Pizza is quite good, since i'm from there i always hit Luciano's everytime i go back to visit.

I find that Pizza Hut doesn't fill me up enough. If you go to a non franchise pizza shop, 1 slice of pizza = 2 pizza hut slices.

never heard of the big ragu, but i've been to Terroni and i think when talking about this subject you really have to differentiate between a real pizza place and a restaurant that serves pizza.

They're totally different IMO.

Personally if i'm craving pizza i never go to some expensive Italian restaurant. never. I go to a pizza place where my craving can be satisfied for $5.

Also, Terroni is great, but i would never order pizza there.

Maybe it's just me... but pizza at a nice restaurant just doesn't feel right.
