This is why the destination wedding at a resort is so perfect. You accept that it will be all resort-cheesy and kitchy, and embrace it. The wedding coordinator takes care of everything, and you have only a few choices to make, so not much can go wrong. Easy, no stress, and once you (and especially the bride) embrace the idea of just having fun with whatever the resort provides, all the difficulties disappear, and you just spend the week drinking on the beach. My wife and I didn't fight once about the wedding after we decided to get hitched in Cuba. Not once.

If I could have chosen my 'first song' it would definitely be from the 'Ella and Louis' album. Maybe "Dream a little dream of me" or "Cheek to Cheek". Those two sound like they've been in love for 50 years in every song on that album.

Sorry about the cheesy animation here, but the song is fantastic. Ella is just the greatest female vocalist of all time. Hands down.

I agree. I just bought my girlfriend the 16 disc box set Ella Fitzgerald - The Complete Songbooks. It's amazing...

Another good tune (but perhaps a tad overdone) is Etta James "At Last"

Dont hate me Benzo, I envy you cause you have found a good woman to spend your life with, I think each day woman are more stupid, well people in general, not trying to sound pretencious but is it me or each day is more difficult to find someone interesting in this world.

Not engaged or married either.. but ever since the 3-0 on Thursday, there's something telling me that I just pick up the pace.

From Beatles - "All You Need is Love" - corny, but perfect for a wedding.

From Benzo's choices - #2
