Default Back tightness/ spasms?

I dont know which I have but at the end of work(I work 13 hour days, and just cleaned for 2 hours before I came back to the main office) I felt my back was hurting a bit. Usually that kind of thing goes away after a day but today it was still there.

Its in the middle of my back mostly when i bend or dont stand upright. Should I put a heating pad on it or ? Any advice? I dont really wanna go to a doctor for it unless it affects my active life so rule that out.

a bit of heat, lots of rest. if it is really bad, go and buy yourself a package of norflex, which is a great muscle relaxant, and take a long nap. when you wake up in the morning (if it doesn't feel acutely sore) stretch it carefully. if it is still acutely sore, go and see a doctor.

i have a chronically bad back, so i know what you are dealing with. not particularly fun.

Back pain sucks, but I have recently discovered a new hurt that is very high on the shitty scale.

Unbilicle Hernia.

Sleeping on the floor for a night or two can help if you can do it.

Thrills.

All that stuff, but if I have one real tip, keep your hamstrings as stretched out as you can when you are on your feet a long time. One of the biggest back stressors will be tight hammy's, keep um loose with simple stretches and crouch in to a ball standing up once in a while ofr 30 secs to stretch the lower back.

It will do wonders for you young man.

Just go get a massage.

Best thing to do is the type with a happy ending.

With any inflammation - ice is better than heat. Heat can make matters worse.
I've had back issues in the past - ice it, take Advil. See a doctor as well. Prescribed anti-inflammatory drugs cleared mine up years ago with no recurrence. Good luck.

I have a really bad neck and realized it's all about my pillow and my habits with regards to how I sit at the computer. I 'pull' my neck every few months but the day to day pain is reduced by the use of a cervical pillow, heat and being careful with how I position myself. I know neck pain's not back pain, but, y'know...
