So i'm gonna start using whey powder/creatine/waxy maise with my workouts...these added to my usual workouts (Insanity + some weight lifting) and a proper diet without fastfood/Pepsi should help a good amount of muscle. 5'11 140lbs right now but got some fat on me around my midsection...wanna get to 150lbs or 155lbs by June with lean muscle...is that possible?

With Whey powder, I read that u should take 1 scoop of whey powder when u wake up, 1 scoop 30 mins before a workout and 1 or 2 scoops before 45 mins after a workout

Can someone explain to me how I could add creatine and waxy maize to my diet? I read in a few places that creatine creates water weight and makes you bloat so I wanna take the waxy maize to soak up all the creatine...don't wanna be bloated for sure lol...and thanks for the help

for your post workout shake; mix the protein/creatine/waxy maize all in the same cup and throw that baby down!
if anything, i'd recommend getting a good protein that mixes nicely... there is nothing worse than a cheap protein that clumps up when you shake it and is impossible to get smooth.

It DOES help... esp. when you're working out for 1-2 hrs per day.

Theoretically you can get all of the stuff that you need from natural food but who has time (or the money) to eat a million steaks, chickens and whole fish?

THAT's why multivitamins and whey protein (among other things) are useful.... they get the proper nutrients into your system quickly.

It should be said though that you still have to eat REAL food... too much synthetic crap alone is hard on your system.

To be honest 'cuda it doesn't seem like work once you're "in the groove"... it's actually kind of fun.

Strength training is incredibly beneficial for women too (not just men).... builds bone mass and strengthens muscles and tendons... important for when you're getting on in your later years.

Ya gotta take care of yourself now if you wanna feel good later on.... FGPs and 50s are tasty but they won't help ya down the road as much as the "good stuff" will.

Nope. And you would be the last person that would have to worry about that.... you've got an "ectomorph" (hardgainer) build.

The most important thing to remember as a woman is that you're going to gain some weight when you strength train... and that is a GOOD thing. You'll still remain lean and feminine though... even if you push heavy weight. You can't look like those "man-beast female bodybuilders" without taking illegal steroids.

I've seen quite a few very pretty girls in the gym who have some muscle on them and look even BETTER because of it.

I know... I have been, actually. The "brain doctor"'s orders! And I admit, I do feel a lot better when I exercise. I just get bored really easily. There's a few key things I can stick with, and it's kinda fun to actually have muscles where I didn't before...

I really do wanna get that punching bag thing. I loved the one in my ex's barn, but is that a good way to exercise???? Even the shitty little ones you buy at Cdn Tire or wherever?

It definitely is! Just make sure that you wear some gloves so that you don't end up breaking your hands lol.... not a bad idea either to maybe get one or two sessions with a trainer (or someone who knows what their doing) so they can show you some moves.

Good for you though! I started working out again for that very same reason.... I just felt like ASS when I didn't and I couldn't tolerate the "man boobies" that I was cultivating hahahaha....

Even if you did something as simple as Pushups, Situps, Bodyweight Squats and beating the crap outta the bag 3 or 4 times a week it would be great for ya and I bet that you'd feel miles better.... AND if shit goes down in a bar you can be the one to jump in and say "I got this!!"

Buy a magic bullet. It sucks for everything else but it's really good for mixing whey protein. Plus you can drink right out of the glass of the magic bullet.
