Unless you stimulate your muscles with heavy weight training, your still going to lose muscle mass and strength.

not sure how much i can bench now (only been doing dumbbells for 4 months), used to only do 155X10 @ 170.

Anybody cutting right now? I tried intermittent fasting and gave that up after mood swings a week into it. Just doing the good ol' caloric deficit (~500).

when you guys cut, do you cut out wheat? I feel as if I get the best results when I do but I end up breaking it 2 weeks or so in and going on a horrible downward eating spiral afterwards.

basically, what are your cutting diets like?

I never eat much wheat anyways, my carbs usually come from rice, fruits and sometimes potatoes. For protein I do 2 scoops of whey, chicken, beans and soymilk. Various veggies stir-fried and some nuts.

I'm naturally an ectomorph so cutting is no problem at all but as a general rule of thumb, when cutting, it is best to cut out all grains/starchy foods and dairy. Fruits and vegetables are the best sources of carbs regardless. I've found I have my best results when consuming high amounts of grain fed lean/whey protein and lots of vegetables. An added benefit of this diet is a shitload of less paperwork, if you know what I mean.. heh..

First time posting in this thread and I don't have any lifts to brag about but I know my shit and standing at 6' and 195 pounds, roughly 12% bodyfat, I get a lot of "rape me" looks from women.. I also have many leather bound books.. bodybuilding.. leatherbound books.. :P

That's nice man! Esp. considering your BW. Very impressive.

You should be right around a 1.5 x BW (246lbs) bench for a 1RM which is considered "elite" by most lifting standards.

your endurance probably increased, as p90x is an endurance/cardio routine. But your pure raw strength? doubt it unless it was the first time in your life you did anything physically demanding.

Something to motivate you guys hahaha....

Unreal strength for a female... much less a teenager!

And before people go nuts about the form she's using a classic powerlifter's arch... which is perfectly legal in competition. Regardless... seeing a 13-yr old girl move 240lbs on the bench (no matter how small a ROM) is quite a sight. Crazy.

There is also a really small plate on there. You can see it between 1:58 and 2:01. If I were going to find a criticism, it would be that I can't see the side spotters hands, so I don't know how much they are touching the bar.

But, yeah, even just moving 225 demonstrates impressive strength, if she is really 13. She looks older. I would have guessed at least 15. But I was almost 6 feet at that age, so I'm not going to seriously question her age.

She's gotta be at least 15-16. Most gyms don't even let kids 13 and under workout. Even with supervision. That's impressive though. Not really motivating though lol.

look at her back. i dont care how old she is or what weight she's pressing, her form sucks and it would likely cause injury.

My metabolism is like a fucking furnace. I haven't done cardio in 8 months and I'm at 12.2% BF at 164.
