Word of advice don't waste your money on pre-workout supps like jack3d, no-xplode, size-on. Basically all pre-workout supplements are made with two main ingredients, both of which are amino acids beta-alanine & AAKG.

Bulk Beta Alanine Powder
Bulk AAKG (L-Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate)
+ caffeine pills

I spend $40 on this shit and it lasts me months, where as jack3d used to cost me $40/month.

The best protein I have come across is MRM all natural whey. It's all natural, no artifical flavors or ingredients, non-gmo, and no hormones added (last 2 are very important).

the only supplement u need is protein shakes and take a multivitamin after ur workout. i use a weight gainer as a meal replacement and take an isolate shake as well

I'm down to 5-6 meals already. I was 190 pounds 4 months ago and now I'm already falling to 185. It's hard to maintain especially when you got school and work.

Lol.... how the hell did I miss this thread? Page 4 already and this is the first time that I've seen it....

I finally renewed my GOODLIFE membership and have been back in the gym for about 3 weeks. My current split looks like this...

MON: Chest
TUES: Back
WED: Legs
THURS: Arms (Bis & Tris)
FRI: Shoulders
SAT: Off
SUN: Off

In terms of supps I'm taking "Animal Pak" (basically a bunch of vitamins), Glutamine powder (for recovery) and Whey Protein. I also buy a box of "Oh Yeah" protein bars every 2 weeks or so and have 1 or 2 per day along with my regular meals (great for when I'm at work).

I'd like to see if I can put up a 3 plate bench (315lbs) by summer.... been a goal of mine for years now.

well now that ToRap has put in his stamp of approval, i guess i'll jump in...
and ToRap is a big boy, i can vouch for that.

Ive been working out for about 7 years now - pretty religiously.
I went from about 120 pounds to roughly 180 during that time, and i'm currently sitting at 170 all muscle baby!
I've actually cut 10 pounds of fat over the last 4 months, doing cardio and eating well along with my daily workout routine.
its funny, but being 170 - and ripped, i look a lot bigger than i did when i was 180, and now have a crazy 6 pack.
i think 170 is my ideal weight, since im 5'10.

ive tried a few supps back in the day, but im happy with my own personal cocktail...
post workout - 5g creatine, 5g glutimine, 50g protein, 50g waxy maize.
it does wonders.

im currently benching 2 plates and a 25. but thats enough for me.

Creatine is the only thing that I may add down the road.... tried some "CellTech" before and it worked pretty well.

2 plates + a 25 per side = 275lbs no?

Pretty beastly man! I think that's about my max right now too.

All those shakes and powders and crap always confused me. My ex used to go nuts with that shit when he was a gym rat, and I never understood what any of it actually did.

I tasted a few - pretty gross, except one that was like a milkshake.

I hope, for your sakes, that they taste better these days!

(aw hell... that's what she said.)

thats the max for me... i am no giant like you so i doubt i want to do anymore.... ive actually been doing less heavy / more reps lately and i enjoy it more.
maybe if i decide to get bigger - say 185 in the summer - i'll go back heavy, but i kinda like being shredded right now and ive been getting more compliments than i did when i was bulkier.

celltech is ok... if i had to recommend any creatine workout supp it would be CellMass from BSN.
my prob is that it is costly, and i did my research and got my own personal cocktail at half the price with way more servings.

that's pretty impressive insider...5'10 140lbs right now myself but I'd like to be at 170 in 4 years with a lot of that being muscle but do you follow a normal workout routine or did you try anything diff like P90X or something in the process?

And I'm all up for getting ripped and I work out a lot when I can.I don't eat junk food but I eat fast food for dinner like 3 times a week and I don't really cook but i'm still pretty skinny but I wanna turn the fat on me into muscle...you guys know any good sites with reasonable food plans/recipes?

a couple questions for you. from what i understand, waxy maize helps you to absorb supplements faster. does that include protein? also, what kind of routine do you employ for your creatine? i have a friend that takes a scoop once in the morning and once before a workout, but everyone seems to have a different take on it.

if you want to turn the fat into muscle...a huge first step is to get rid of the buns on your big mac. i have a friend who took a four month internship in vancouver and during that time wanted to lose a bunch of weight. he ate mcdonalds five times a week for dinner but lost the buns on his burgers, and keeping every other aspect of his diet the same, lost 15 pounds. this was while working out too. he was a big boy, but still, getting rid of those empty carbs will make a huge difference.

damn just had a big mac, I'll remember that for next time. I'd like to add 10 before the summer but with the right foods and supplements of course.
