its easy to use, easy to clean, works great!
I got a magic Bullet a couple years ago as a gift. I think I've used it a grand total of 3 times. Hell I have a blender as well that I barely use.

I can bench 185 for 12 reps. Lets see if anyone can beat that!

Not bad at all! The "NBA Strength Test".

I haven't tried that weight for reps for a while.... maybe I'll pop into the little gym here at work and give it a go!

Aren't you a heavy weight? You could probably do the NFL strength test. 225 for reps.

Ha! Yeah, I guess I fit the HW category but I'm no where near beastly enough to impress when it comes to repping 225. I think the most I ever got in my life with that weight was 10. Plus, benching with long arms = not fun.

I can ... and Im a small dude and probably in the worst shape Ive been in a year. It always makes me laugh when NBA prospects in the draft cant do even 1.

Shaun Livingston is the last guy I remember with 0 reps.

You guys know how I can improve my bench press effectively and quickly. I'm doing like 20 pounds on each side right now, I know it's weak lol but I'm new to bench press and weight 135. Is bench press something you get better with repetition or are there other exercises I can do to improve on it also?

Yep, like with all lifts... the more you do them, the easier they get. Your body has to get accustomed to the movement.

Push ups are always good for training that movement. So are dips and military presses. Strong shoulders and triceps are just as important as a strong chest for benching (probably more in fact).

Seriously! Jeez, if you know you're going to be a 1st round pick you'd figure that you might want to visit the weight room once in a blue moon lol...

Then again, I'm sure that Kevin Durant probably couldn't get very many (if any) and he's tearing it up so what do I know? :cookie:

Just gave it a whirl and I ended up with 15 reps. Might have had 16 with a spotter there but I chickened out... didn't want to kill myself lol.

You would be correct:

At the NBA combine:

But get this: Only one player was unable to bench press 185 even once - Kevin Durant.

Do a lot of dumbbell press exercises.

your tricep strength is what will hold you back from gains on bench, and that will be true for as long as you lift. same deal with your shoulder exercises - triceps will make or break gains. dumbbell presses will help but you're going to need to set aside a day to focus on triceps. again just make sure you're eating and lifting consistently and it will all fall into place.

edit: did not see TO's post (sorry homie) but just reiterating the fact.

Hasn't happened to me but I know that it CAN happen.... esp. if you're doing a really taxing exercise like squats, deads or leg press.

What are you doing? 1 rep max? 5 reps? 10?

Sometimes altering the number of reps can provide good results.

That's what worked for me in the past and I think that I'm about to make a break through pretty soon with that same method as well.

If I do allot of cardio and mix in some crazy ab routine. I feel like blowing chunks.
Make sure your not depleting yourself of food and water.
